I don't know if this is a joke or not anymore.

Pook basically just wrote down (in way too many words) what I learned from my grandfather and older relatives. I can see why you guys get your panties in a ruffle over it. Really though pook re-framed common knowledge in such a way that any guy who has actually had sex with girls wouldn't look twice at his stuff.

I found the community late (thank god) and have been stuck between two opposing views. The first is pooks (I write well therefore I am) and the second is mystery's (I pimp well therefore I am). Personally I think that both are d-bags. Writing about getting laid versus getting laid by hors isn't that big a difference.

Seriously I have no idea why I still come here at all. Maybe entertainment. Thats the best I can think of. I am to busy living life to write down memoirs.

I also dont care if I get worshiped or not. After all this is the internet. The last thing that I want is a bunch of numbnuts hanging on my every word. Nothing is new here. Everything that pook wrote was written before. None of it is to hard to find given google. All that pook did was put it into way to long of a group of stories with excessive use of adjectives.

The true "DJ" principle #1 is talking game doesn't mean that you have it. As much as I talk I find myself repeating the same sh1t over and over again on this site. It isn't profound like pook. It is actually just simple. Have fun, enjoy life, and learn from experience. Thats it. One sentence. That is the book of Belividere.

Another fundamental principle of this site is not to treat girls like they are better then you. Why should this not carry over to treating guys the same? Why is it okay for you to put pook on a pedestal but not an actual girl that you might potentially have sex with?

Honestly I dont know sh1t. I only know my experiences and what I've lived so far. If you want to follow the "book of pook" and it makes you feel better then by all means do so. All that I'm saying is that 0.00000001% of guys out there have ever come across the "book of pook" and it seems that more then a fair percentage are doing just fine without it. I was an example of such a guy. The only difference between me reading this and not reading it has been a couple of gray hairs.

I'm gonna guess that anyone that responds to my post will say that I dont get what pook was writing. That is were I say that this stuff is common knowledge. If someone hadn't told me this info I picked it up through experience. The "book of pook" is never going to be a substitute for experience. There are a number of things that pook has written that make it seem as though he isn't that experienced with actually getting girls or maintaining relationships. I guess I'll hold back specifics until I feel that I should write the book of belividere.

I went to yahoo answers the other day to look for how to cook something in particular, and they have the love and dating section. seriously.... there are so many hopefull fools on that site.. there are about 5 posts per second.

I thought about hosting a website, and having guys and girls post questions that I and other qualified DJ's would answer for a flat fee.

not a bad idea if you ask me. I don't need the money but still.. I don't turn AWAY money and it would be fun..

whatever belividere. If you were always so knowledgeable in the "common sense" of DJism, then I honestly wonder what you are even doing at this site...
And furthermore, you owe it to the rest of us to spread your great wisdom to the recovering AFCs.

I put Pook on a Pedestal because 1) He's not a flaky woman, 2) I don't want to get him attracted to me, and 3) He is more deserving of praise than any woman I can think of. You can insult him if you want, but he's helped plenty of people, and continues to do so.

Pook was much too verbose in his writings.
He may have just been a great keyboard jockey.

But what makes him resonate with most people (myself included) is that we get to see the transformation from an AFC to a more complete man.
His writings were a part of his therapy, so to speak - him figuring out what it meant for him to become a man.

I don't view Pook as a guru. But a struggling protagonist in a tale that many of us can relate. He's more Luke Skywalker than Obiwan
