Wedding Crashers had an underlying satirical aspect and it might just be about the seduction community.

They had "rules" of the game.

They had this mysterious legendary pioneer that they worshipped (like we do).

Owen Wilson's character goes through a realization that many of us here go through --- whether we want to be "that guy" who's an incredible PUA but that's his entire life and goes too far (Will Ferrel)... or if we want to just better ourselves.

You seem to be real worried about the safety and security of our community. I don't think they even know it exists, they just know cool guys when they see them. Isn't that what we're all trying to be?

I f your not using canned material, who cares if our lil club is discovered by the masses??? The game being exposed doesnt harm me in anyway.....

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

No I don't care, I'm not saying this part of the movie is bad, in fact this is my favorite movie of the summer and it was incredible watching it and seeing the parallels.

The two greatest comedies of this year, except for The Aristocrats perhaps, have been Wedding Crashers and The 40 Year Virgin. Both films took decidedly anti-player stances after initially seeming to be pro-player. We could say that in terms of story development, the pivotal scene in Wedding Crashers was Vince Vaughn shackled to a bed while that red headed vixen had her way with him. Up to that point in the film, Vince Vaughn was controlled by the ladies. His being raped was to be a metaphorical wake-up call to women’s domination over him and subsequently he began asserting more control over his desires. I, of course, am leaving out the best part about the shackled bedroom scene but that omission is for the people who have not yet seen the film. :woo:
