Am new to suit wearing so pardon the stupid questions. From reading the board, the best way to go about getting a nice fitted suit is to have it custom made. I don't mind the price since I make more then most people do my age and I want to start showing that side of me. However I don't work in an office type of environment so wearing a suit with a tie will seem out of place on the street and clubs.

Suit wearing people will say that wearing T-shirt with suit is a definite no, but I found people can pull this off and look good. Check the first one in the image below.

You can see that he wear a more stylish shoe, necklace and pocket chain, so is the suit and T's doable if you make those addition? Id like to hear you guys oppinion on this.

personally i think when you are over 25 the only suit you should be wearing is your traditional suit and tie look.

trying to be 'stylish' with your 'suit' just makes you look like a raging homosexual.

the only time an exception can be made is if you are dressing up to go to some trendy nightclub where other people are looking the same way. or if you work int he fashion industry.

but i can tell you that of those pics you just showed us, if i saw either of those guys walk into my office i'd think he was gay.

oh, the fact that the model weighs only 110lbs could also add to my perceived gayness of the suits in mention.

anything that weighs 110lbs should either have a vagina or be dinner.

If you don't work in an office environtment...then don't waste your $$$ in getting one fitted.

Also, you might want to consider buying a sport coat and dress it down with a nice pair of jeans.

For your age (and assuming you are relatively slim or athletic) and the fact that you don’t work in an office environment…the sport coat on the left is fine. The suit in the middle (learn the difference between suits and sport coats) is also okay if you work in an office environment and if you go to a place that requires certain dress coat.

LOL edger is that sarcasm?

I'll admit it is a little gay looking but probably because the guy is too skinny looking, am more build so my chest will stick out more.

Latinoman - I really don't know the difference, I thought the suit is the whole outfit including the pants? the guy in the middle is wearing the same sportcoat as the first guy, he just wear a dress shirt and tie instead.

Didn't t-shirts and suit coats go out with "Miami Vice"??? Or have the fashion gods recycled it and now it's popular again?

I don't like the look at all, especially with a printed t-shirt. If you're a mid 20's buff guy I think it would look kind of like "Hey! I'm trying to be cool! And I don't have any clean dress shirts so I wore this!

It's like a girl wearing a lace blouse with scruffy jeans, the look just doesn't work.

There's a difference between looking good and trying hard to look good.

Anyone who has seen someone walk into a bar dressed in a sport coat with a printed tee can tell you the difference.

When guys do pull off a blazer, jeans and tee combo, it looks GOOD. As a matter of fact, it is one of the best fashions I see on a man when I go out. Why would it even be percieved as tacky? Jeans and tees go together, and a blazer is just a form of jacket.

Its just one way to dress a jacket DOWN a little.

.

I've noticed that women's douche bag radars are very poor. All the time my female friends insist on hanging out with douche bags while the rest of us are looking on disapprovingly.

Men: "Mike is a douche bag."
Woman: "No he's not; he's really cool and nice."
Men: "We as men are the judges of other men. He is a douche bag, a try hard, and is hereby ostracized from all manly circles."
Woman: "Whatever he's really nice!" (aka he gives me attention to fill the holes while my bf ignores me and does manly things)

... and she's not even sexually interested in him...

The most recent example I can think of is a guy at a halloween party who went around and absolutely clung to and pawed every woman in the place under the guise of playing around and being friendly. He also dresses as some 70s porn star. Douche bag douche bag douche bag. I hate those kind of guys. Who the heck goes around hugging people all night? He just likes to cling to women who are too docile to object. And no he didn't take any home.

The guy in that first photo i would immediately assume he's a douche bag. Being 100 lbs doesn't help his case at all. He'd have quite the hole to dig himself out of. I do not understand why this is not blatantly obvious for women. Probably because women have use for such men as they do purses, while we men just pounce for the kill, pity him, or use his back to play cards.

The guy in the ad looks like someone who shoves ecstacy up his ass...

I would recommend getting a nice sports coat if you wanna do the t-shirt thing....jeans, a t-shirt, and a sports coat. To me, wearing an actual expensive suit with slacks [and a t shirt] looks stupid. Just my opinion......

I think the sport jacket + tshirt look is fine, especially if it's with some dark jeans and brownish boots. But I definitely wouldn't wear a t-shirt with the tux top like the guy on the left, too metro.
