Master Don Juan
What is the answer for us that are just trying to make our way through the mess? I've been concerned with this for a while. I'm not sure what it's like in the rest of the world, but I have an up close view of the United States. I don't think it's an American problem, I think it's an entitled problem that affects every culture in the world that accumulates too much prosperity.
Decadence is good, self-indulgence is good, consumer, buy sh*t you don't need, etc. People who don't give a f*ck about anyone but themselves are everywhere. Some say that's what it takes to be a leader, to make those decisions that may send others to their death. Perhaps there is a place for psychopaths and sociopaths in our society. Some say there is no cure for this disease. If that's the case, do we simply just cut these people out of our lives? Keep them at arm's distance? At some point, we're going to need some of these people for something. I don't think you can just alienate everyone around you just because they are overly selfish.
I don't know, just a rant I suppose. Choose your friends wisely is the motto in the end. Basically, a borderline sociopath has revealed their true self to me lately and it's really a frightening thing. A person who absolutely CANNOT examine themselves and CANNOT fathom that they may be guilty of wrong-doing. The world is here to serve them and if you don't, the wrath of h*ll will come down on you.
