I came across this article which is quite a interesting read IMO, it shows us insight into what people regret most about their lives. I believe we can learn a thing or two from this article, and possibly keep a track of what life is really about when we get lost in the rat race.

Get to know yourself, know what makes you happy, and do it responsibly. Just don't be a sheep without a brain and do what friends/family/society tells you. If it makes you happy and conforms to what others tell you, then great. If it doesn't, do it your way in a responsible way and fuk what others think.

Happiness is all about balance IMO also. Of course, try to do something you enjoy for work and excel at it to the best of your ability. Try to learn how to rest as well as you can and find what you love doing for your play time and do it!

When you stop asking how and start living, that's when life becomes fulfilling. No amount of happy will bring you happiness, because after a while of being happy it becomes boring - unless you on drugs, but even then, your brain becomes accustomed to drugs and it becomes boring. Agree but you must be careful because people will get into a lifestyle where they have +1 hour compulsory workbreak, +1.5 hours travelling to/from work, +0.5 hours grooming +1hours cooking/eating, then there's only 4 hours left and it's already dark. Then it's late evening and you feel tired and drained, so you watch TV and spank to youporn.

It's easy to fall into this and WHAM you waste your youth away.
