I just bought a 10 lb thing of ON whey protein.
I don't have a shaker or a blender to mix it though.

Is there another way I can take it? (I heard ice cream, although I don't see how it would mix with that...)?
If not, where would you suggest getting a shaker? I've had bad luck with them in the past (I got one from bb.com)

blended is good, you can make protein bars, put in in oatmeal... you could put it on top of ice cream i'm sure (although that doesn't seem healthy?), put it on top of cottage cheese... lots of stuff

Some can be mixed w/ a spoon...

Yeah, you have to have a good hand held blender. You can find these things for under $20.

I make myself an "Orange Julius" each morning and after I get home from work. I blend:
  • A scoop of whey (I use ON too)
  • 8oz of Sunny Delight
  • 2-4oz of skim milk
  • tsp of creatine
  • tsp of glutamine

Occasionally I add a bananna. Undersand that I'm not bulking up. I'm just using the drink to maintain and repair my muscles before and after working out.

Just go to Krogers/Walmart or whatever grocery store is close to you. Go to the tupperware area and look for any bottle that has a twist on cap. You dont need to buy a real "shaker" bottle for this. I use one by ziploc, cant remember the name (maybe twist n lock?), but they come in packages of 2. Since you have ON, im sure just shaking will get really good consistence with no clumps.

Actually, i had questions...does whey need to be absorbed into a liquid to work well? Is it possible just to sprinkle it on food and eat it like that?

Ive been using ONs whey for a long time... just dump a scoop into a glass, fill the glass with water and stir. It mixes well, but once in a while you get clumps and its nasty.

Blender's way to go.

Hook up mad smoothies/different blends with it.
like Francisco said. 20 bucks. Got mine at Target for round that price.
Use it everyday. Legit Purchase.
