I have a suggestion that on the sosuave site there should be a questionnaire for visitors to fill out. In this it should ask visitors to answer a series of multiple choice questions. Then at the end they get advice on what articles they should read to improve or what posts they should read from the forum. I feel this will help djs to rate there skills and show them how they can improve there technique.

Too cold and methodical, IMO.

I've got a better idea. How about you make this survey/quiz, then link us to the completed result. We'll test it out on a random sample group, and if the results are favorable then it will be evaluated by a board of moderators before being passed along to the site admin. If it passes through all of these steps without being vetoed, then it will become a part of the site.

The SoSuave beaurocracy...

Is this because you do not want to do the due diligence of reading everything as to get a thorough knowledge of DJism?

It's an art, not a science.

Can you judge a painter's skill at painting with a multiple choice test? Or a musician's instrumental/vocal talent?

Saying its an art and not a science dosnt mean you cant get advice and a broad spectrum of dj questions, also i know all the dj stuff on this site is good but its nothing to do with not wanting to read it all, its to pinpoint parts you should brush up on.

Yes, as a matter of fact, saying it's an art and not a science means EXACTLY that. Every situation is different. There is no "right answer." It's all in your attitude and expression.

There is no "right answer." You're still thinking about dating and seduction like they're logical sciences.

Just because you know what tool to use to hit a nail doesn't make you a master carpenter.

Squirrels if you cant learn to improve your game why does this site exist? You can learn to be a better artist, just like you can learn to be a better dj. The thing im talking about will not allow you to be amazing in every situation its just a method which people can use to learn or improve just like a thing to tel you what stage you are at or to point you in the right direction.

Apparently in Sweden, some guy made a mathematical formula for picking up...

The problem with turning "art" (ie. conversation skills, DJing, etc) into a "science" is that you end up with rules lawyers. "Justin Timberlake is AFC", "talking to a girl while rotating your pinky 2 inches to the left of your thigh is AFC".

You can't put rules to dating. You can have general principles, but most of it depends on your own initiative and intuition.

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

Quote taken from The SoSuave Guide to Women and Dating, which you can read for FREE.
