I work at the student center at my school. This chick, Brazilian, my favorite, works there too, but in a different area. So I finish up work today and go up to her, strike up a descent convo for a minute or two, and move on to her plan for October break. Once she's done telling me, I say, "hey, we should hang out some time after break, next week or something."
So what does she say?: "Oh, so what classes are you taking this semester?"
It totally seemed like she was trying to change the subject to avoid awkwardness. Now, granted, she was busy stapling up posters on a bulletin board at the time, but as soon as she was done asking me that and I said classes were, "ok," she said she ran out of staples and bounced.
My roomate's gf told me she most likely didn't hear what i said, but I dunno. In retrospect I should have said, "so is that a yes or a no," but that is only in restrospect. Do I go back tommorow and ask again and hope she didn't hear me the first time? It's sort of a risk cause I also work with her twin sister, so I don't wanna make the workplace awkward. Any advice would be a help.
