Was this a blow-off?

I went out with this chick last week, had fun, thought it went pretty well. Took her home and she passed the kiss-test with flying colors. So anyway I called her early this evening with the idea of setting up a second date sometime this week. She answers and is sounding all cheerful, we talk for a minute and she tells me she is almost out the door to go hang out with her friend, so can she call me back. I just said yeah (couldn't really think of anything clever for that one) and the call ended. I wish I could've thought of something C+F to say to that, but I couldn't think quick enough. Now the ball is in her court, which I don't really like.

Do you think it was a blow-off or what? I am thinking it might be, on the other hand she didn't have to answer either (she checks her caller ID). Anyway I guess I will give her a day, or at most two, to call back and if nothing....Next!

she passed the kiss test "with flying colors" -- give her a chance! I agree it probably isn't the best that the ball is in her court, but just wait for her to call you back. She might be testing you to see if you're desperate enough to call back real quick.

It's true she made an offer to call back, and it'll be a bad sign if she doesn't. But take it initially as a request for you to call her again. In otherwords, wait a couple days, call again. The second time will probably reveal the pattern.

If she doesn't call she's doing one of 3 things,

*Playing power games to get "hand", this is good solid gamesgirlship and a DJ expects nothing less.
*Trying to ditch you, in which case you try to get her on the phone to bust some c+f to get that IL up, or wait to see her in person and do same, or
*She's genuinely busy and forgot to call.

Wait a week apologise for not calling her (some friends invited you to do something else that night) and go from there.

I'm interested in the suggestion of calling her in a week. Why should I a) call her at all and b) apologize for not doing it sooner? I thought both of those things are contrary to everything DJ. The ball is in her court for good or bad. She hasn't called yet, and I don't really look for her to. It wouldn't bother me much except two of my other prospects fizzled out today. The herd has gotten thin pretty quick this time.

Isn't the kiss-test usually a pretty good gauge of interest? She went right with it.

I swear, I have dealt with every backward-ass nutjob on the planet this year. I don't know that I will ever find a semi-normal female (if such a thing exists).

Dude, I TOTALLY hear that. Just last week I nailed this girl who is a friend of a male friend of mine. I went at this chick hard for about an hour, to the point where her roommate commented to my male friend the next day that she thought *both of us* were tagging her. Anyway, I got the stock "I don't usually do this" line, and how she only did it because she "liked" me so much. Last night I saw her at a local pub and she walked right past me. WOW! No "hello," no wave, nothing! Not that I give a sh1t because the girl is obviously a ho... but what really bothers me is the lying. I mean, damn, what do these girls want anyway? Multiple orgasms aren't enough anymore? I guess what I'm trying to say is: don't let this bullsh1t get you down, we all have to deal with the same nut-jobs. They're f*cking everywhere, and they're never going to go away.
