I just wanted to address two issues I had so far in the US. It's not a political thread, so please refrain from immature comments.

I recently brought my HP laptop to Comp USA, the battery charger broke and I needed them to fix the connection. So they do and I don't have to pay anything since it's covered on insurance. A month later I have the same prblem, the connection between the battery charger and the laptop is broken. So I bring it back to the same Comp USA store. They take it back in again and since I have insurance the cost is still covered.

Much to my surprised a week later I get a notice from Comp USA that they weren't able to repair my laptop, because the lap top seems to be broken from physical damage by the owner. I'm thinking... WTF! I go talk to them and they show me laptop. The whole battery is ripped off the lap top... it has crow bar marks on it. I speak with the manager and tell him that the laptop came back to me in worse condition and that they're responsible for fixing everything since I still have insurance on it. They deny my request and kick me out of the store.

There's my horror story from Comp USA I advise people to stay away from that evil store. After experiencing this, I noticed how American news like CNN and FOX don't cover these types of stories. They rather focus on celebrities instead of important issues. I'm starting to think that firms pay off (sponsorship) the news agency to avoid stories like these. Just go read news from other countries like Japan or China, they are filled with articles on fraud and corporate corruption.

Go in at a crowded time when people are lining up to buy laptops, and ask an employee in a polite but loud voice:

"Hi. My lawyer asked me to get the store's address so that you could be served with the COURT PAPERS. I'm GOING TO SUE, because THEY WON"T FIX MY BROKEN LAPTOP EVEN THOUGH I BOUGHT INSURANCE. So what is your address so I can SERVE THE LAWSUIT PAPERS?"

Smile as you say it. If they know the address, then ask,

"WHEN THE STORE GETS SUED FOR NOT HONORING THE WARANTEES THEY SELL, which manager is it who is typically named in the lawsuits? My LAWSUIT AGAINST THE STORE has to name a manager."

They won't know. Ask the same polite but loud question to each successive manager as they show up. If any of them have any sense, they will do anything to make you stop scaring away their customers buying thousand dollar computers. You have to leave if they ask, but those stores are big, and the slow walk to the front would let you get in your loud lawsuit quuestions several more times. I bet you could cost them twenty grand in business if you wait until whenever they are most packed with holiday shoppers, more if those people told their friends what they saw, and a lot of them would.

The best part is that it's all legal. And I bet they fix your laptop to shut you up. Remember to be loud and polite at the same time. Don't show any anger.

Saved me the trouble. Thanks, Francisco.

Leave it to people who don't watch Fox News to make negative judgment calls about the channel. This is why Fox Business is going to wipe out CNBC, while other left-leaning news outlets are in rapid decline. People like Nip/Tuck are in charge over there. :p
It really doesn't matter to me what American news channel, since all of them are biased. Please find me proof that CNN is on the decline. As long as there conservatives like you who only watch FOX and democrats who only watch CNN, those channels won't be wiped out. You completely missed my point too, I was saying how compared to OTHER NETWORKS across the globe. American news outlets (which includes FOX, CNN, ABC and CNBC) don't cover corporate corruption.

By the way, I'm actually republican. I really hate how democrats support female rights (Way over equality and screws guys in divorce courts.) and affirmative action / welfare. (Rewards laziness and kills competition.) So please make sure you get your fact straight before you assume / criticize someone you don't know.

Wow that is some messed up shit I've been working at Best Buy for about a week and while I don't know about this stores history, I can certainly understand what was happening in your situation. I'm sure everybody knows that Best Buy hassles it's customers to get service or replacement plans. The best thing you can do to protect yourself is to take photos of your device that you are taking to the store for service. Make sure they are dated and have several of them from different angles. That way you are protected if some damage is caused after you gave it to them. If they somehow screwed up on the repair and tried to blame it on the owner, (what happened to you) you can say uh ah :nono: my device was in perfect condition before I gave it to you. Here are the dated photographs to prove it.
