Did anyone happen to catch the Pick UP Artist on VH1 this past Monday night?

Normally reality TV can be fake and cheesy, but I think this show can teach us DJs alot. The premise behind the show is simple, Mystery shows a group of men who have trouble picking up women how to become better at picking up women with one man becoming a master PUA in the end. After watching the first episode this week I was hooked. I really think that all DJs in this forum should at the very least check it out.

What did everyone else think about the show and how do you think it can help our games just by watching?

Yeah sadly now this place is left of few real dj's with a ass load of ignorant advice and copied techniques. What happened to more inner game and natural ability as opposed to copied and regergetated info from over played PUA's like mystery and DD

I got here in 2004...and we argued alot..however you could tell there were so many more guys trying to better themselves from an inner game perspective.

I will be honest...I have gained 30 lbs since I got here...my life has changed....i have a child, fiance...I am out of the game...however the confidence I got from reading the dj bible, coming here everyday and talking with other guys trying to make it..and going out to malls on weekends, sarging, learning all I can to be a man..reading tony robbins books and so on.

I still have the same confidence now as then..even if I was single again..sure id lose weight and all that...but Id still feel I can achieve what I want and that is thanks to this place then..I cant see how it can help near as much now

If you don't care about the show, SHUT DA FACK UP!, and stay off this thread. Or better yet, go post on the merger thread with everyone bitshing. Even better, start your own "I hate Mystery" thread.

Hopefully this thread will be for those following the show who wan't to continue talking about it, as it progresses. The show is good, for entertainment value, and one might be able to pick stuff up, since this is not entirely new for most of us. Some of us might actually be fans of Mystery or his method, why can't you just get over it? Go start a "I hate American Idol" thread, or better yet, get a life.

With that being said, I will go watch the first episode, and thanks to you guys for starting this thread again.

I agree. And I sense sarcasm. Hopefully your response won't trigger all the haters to ruin this thread. I haven't seen the episode, but based on what I've heard from him and others, I agree with you. I saw him speak a couple of times and that is the impression I got, even a few years ago. Now I must go see the show!

no I am not being sarcastic...he really can...and his friend..they are great PUA's.

I think she show is for entertainment....mystery is who he is.

i just dont want to see these guys try to duplicate him..instead of finding there own inner confidence

That's true, peeps here see him, and right away picture themselves being him, and wether what he does/who he is would work if they were doing it. So they start talking about how they wouldn't wear the hat, the nails, etc. etc. and forget that what's important are the concepts and techniques he has contirbuted over the years,wich can be implemented by anyone.

Everyone that thinks this show is real is a fvcking moron. The girls in the club KNEW what was gonna happen before the AFCs (who are paid actors) entered the club. The producers told the women beforehand that they have to sign contracts so that they can show their faces on TV otherwise the producers would get sued. Furthermore the producers told them to turn every of the paid AFC actors down however once Mystery and his loser wingmen enter the club they are supposed to act attracted to them.
I don´t think anyone on this board can seriously be stupid enough to believe what is happening on the show is real.

"Think of a number between 1 and 4" I had to laugh when mystery´s wingman with the blonde hair highlighted with black stripes (WTF???) spit out his so called "game". Any woman would roll her eyes and turn away immediately if someone said that to her.

The funniest part however is in the end when Mytery the "worlds best pick up artist" turns around and says into the camera: "Guys, this is what I´m gonna teach you" ......... With the women he gamed standing right next to him and looking in the camera. Roflmao. Everything displayed in this show is fake. Deal with it guys. It´s the same as the show Keystothevip which is also completely fake.

Let's add to the fact that before the show started they asked REAL people who wanted to be on the show to send them videos. Also if they're already getting paid a huge ammount for the show, what do they need 50k for if they're probably already rich? Exactly. Why do you think they did that? To get publicity for the show. They already knew the people they were gonna pick: paid actors.

2. I don´t even think they get 50k. It is just to get more people watch the show and think "Wow, the winner gets 50k for this? Let´s see what they have to do!" That´s just an assumption though.

Man, it took you that long to realize. This guy is yet another example of people's limiting beliefs, and you guys are engaging him. He's probably a paid actor who was told to come and bad mouth mystery.

An observation if I may, there are a few haters in this forum that I would like to adress. In my experience with the game there is NO golden standard. No end all be all resource that explains fully the game! Mystery, Style, the DJ bible, etc. Who cares which is better or what not? Each have their benefits and their drawbacks. I've worked in the medical industry for a number of years now and let me tell you what I've learned...you ready...everyone's different!! Pill A may help person A but not person B. The game is the same way! The only way one can improve game is to take in information from many different sources see what works for YOU and I stress that highly, YOU!! and move on from there.

To the haters of Mystery, the DJ bible, Style, or other methods good luck succeeding going in with that attitude. Of course constructive critism to these models should be part of the process. But, please make it constructive or shut the F*ck up!
