vent/field report: i can f*ucking kick myself right now

Ok earlier today i was walking into the library at school and saw this hb 8. we made eye contact and i flashed her a big smile and said: hi how are u? and she smiled back and said good so and kept walking. since she was busy i went out to talk to my homeboy right quick and see if i can run into her again (i was gonna approach her anyway even if i hadn't run into the friend) and he had to make copies, we were talking about her and out of nowhere she appeared at the door of the copy machine place at my school...i was taken by suprise b/c she appeared out of nowhere, once again i smiled at her and she started making copies. so the machine didn't work so she waited for other, and tahts when i started talking to her

me: u making a cheat sheet you could peek at during a test?
her: (laughing) no this is for my dad
im: oh what class is it for
her: thats a good question she checked and it was for history
its for my dad
me: oh what about you, what classes are u taking?
her: blah blah blah blah
me: gee is that all
her: smile
me: what do u want to be when u grow up? (thats my way of asking what a girl's major is)

before she could answer a copy machine opened up and she left w/o answering

my friend was still making copies and joking with me, and asked me a few questions, like what happened to your car, and a relationship i had with my friends homegirl, and when he asked about homegirl she kinda looked up...then she had trouble with the copier, my friend helped her out, and asked her name and then he said forget it ill make copies later, and i was about to ask her name and number, but it was hella crowded in there so i was like f*uck it....S*HIT S*HIT

AFC'S, dj's and whoever looks at this site DON'T EVER GET INTIMIDATED BY THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU (yes I am shouting on purpose to get through to thier heads)...NO MATTER WHAT, NUMBER CLOSE NUMBER CLOSE NUMBER CLOSE

trust me its better to get embarrased by a few people than to kick yourself in the a*ss for not doing it i still am....

like they say in the dj bible GET THE F*UCKING NUMBER!!!!!!!!!

it will drive you crazy if you don't, especially since she was giving me signals here and there....i am a martial artist, and still have trouble getting girls' numbers, but have no trouble beating someone's ass...im sure you dont want to be in that position

I don't agree with you per say and here is why:

You should never approach a girl unless you are absolutley sure of yourself. The fact that you have a lack of confidence is enough to judge that you probably can't handle handle the pain of a rejection. Getting rejected will only cause you more pain and frustration if you have a diffident mindset.

When you say to yourself "I am going to go talk to this girl no matter how unconfident I am feeling," you are pulling yourself away from the reality of the situation. Approaching girls should be no different than approaching a male, a teacher, or a friend. Like Pook said, it's not really confidence but comfortablness. The "I am going to this no matter what" attitude is best for personal tasks and goals like " I am going to finish this paper no matter what." Your self-esteem should be built off of your personal accomplishments and not social acheivements.

If your feeling nervous about approaching a girl, chances are you haven't satisfied some inner-need for self-esteem.

i can handle rejection

i can handle rejection, that is why i wanted to get that girls number...its just that i have trouble talking to girls in front of a lot of people, b/c i used to be (and still am kinda) shy, and like my coworker once told me "if you don't open your mouth you can't get fed"...besides rejection only hurts for a little bit, im got over it already (it happened around 1130 today)....im just kicking myself for NOT doing it....

What kind of a field report is this? This isn't a fvckin field report, this is some AFC whiny type ****. Next time number close, end of story. You are right that there is no reason to worry about those around you, so next time just do it.
