I would strongly advise against celebrating Valentine's Day if you want to keep your self-respect as a man. What was originally a day in which men rewarded women for being good submissive, subordinate partners morphed into a day for making men toe the feminist line.

He "better" get me flowers. He "better" step it up a notch. And so on.

Be a man this Valentine's Day and don't celebrate. Just tell your date, "I don't like what it's become." And leave it at that.

What that means is, I get gifts as well. Make the habit of asking your girl what she is giving you for valentines day.
If you can make Valentine's Day into something other than what it currently is in popular culture, more power to you.

As is, it might as well be called "National Feminist Day."

I have a valentine, more importantly, SHE has one too.

A strong frame and expectations are everything.
This.

If you date the right kind of woman, there's no reason to not be getting gifts and great treatment on special days in the year.

Even if youre casually dating, and she gets you a card, some chocolates, cooks dinner and you have some really good sex that night...that's a good V-day right there. This is what Im expecting with my lady. We arent going to do expensive gifts or flowers and junk...but I already know shes the kinda girl to do the other stuff in order to show me she cares and values me.

Whenever I see dudes complain about V-day, I know they are dating selfish women. Do a google search. A fair amount of women go out of their way to do something nice for their man, and try to make it a day about both of them...not just her.

Agreed.

Valentine's day is industry. It's fraud and scam.It generates big profits for greedy people because they know they can sell huge amount of trash on that particular day.

Women abuse it to get gifts, men abuse to get *****,industry abuse it to get profits. It's sick to the core.
