Hey guys,

I was hoping a few of you could give me some insight into what a few universal bar drinks are?

Generally how whiskey/scotch etc might be ordered in America/Australia etc.

Also, some decent ****tails blends or w/e. Things that both genders can enjoy.

Oh ya, also, what kind of shots are universal? If i hit up a bar in LA, will they know what a 'such-and-such,' (Does not exist) in Australia is?

On another note, some fcking idiot tried to pick a fight with me.

I was driving home after a hard chest workout at the gym and i get a call from my father. So i pull over onto the side of the road. It's night, not a lot of cars and it's dimly lit (it's always like some cheap ass thriller movie setting). So anyway, about 10min into the conversation some punk walks over, taps my window and asks me what I'm doing there with my indicators on. i tell him I'm on the phone, he tells me to **** off or he'll smash my windows in. WTF?

I ignore the threat and tell him I'm on the phone and I'll be done soon. I raise my window and continue talking to me dad. 2 seconds later he punches my window. I roll down the window (power window w/e) and ask him what his problem is. He just tells me to get the **** away. quote, 'Fcking drive off or I'll smash your windows in'. At this point my dad can hear him on the other side and he's telling me to just forget the idiot and drive off. He's concerned about my safety. I just want to beat the fck out of this loser. Dad starts getting really worried on the other side, telling me to just bloody ignore him and drive off. I've got adrenaline starting to pump through me. 1/2 of me wants to get out and beat the sh1t out of this idiot. the other 1/2 is a little worried, this guy looks like a loose canon, he might have a knife. As time progresses i start to get angry and i just want to get out and kick the fcker till he's dead. I want to kill him, i think i can get away with it at night as well. My dad keeps telling to me bloody just drive off, he calls mother over into the convo. I think it through really quickly and decide it'd be best to just drive off.

As i drive off the fcker punches my car 1-2 more times. I want to stop and kill him now - kill. I'm really angry.

Anyway at the end of the night i get home. Car seems fine, still want to go over there and smash his face in. I know the general location he is in now. Hunting him down shouldn't be too hard.

Hmmmm, so... did i do the right thing? I've never had anyone be this openly aggressive to me before. (Apart from the time some car cut me off and 2-3 guys got out... but that's an entirely different story)

Should i have gotten out and just smashed his face in? (I don't have a lot of street fighting experience but I've trained in HapKiDo for 1 years and TaeKwonDo for 2 years, enough to understand what to do. I'm also open to kicking his b@lls, slapping/punching his throat and generally throwing the first punch fast)

Or was driving away the good thing to do? I don't know. I'm conflicted, my upbringing says i did the right thing, you try not to stoop to the level of trash. My emotions are telling me driving away was the cowardly thing to do. Part of me was afraid, a large part of me was really, really pissed off and wanted to hurt the guy.

...Advice?
(btw, I'm considering taking up boxing or MMA - it's seriously just been a big interest of mine for awhile, this incident is pretty much unrelated. What would be the better thing to take up?)

Get a concealed weapons permit. If some guy started punching my window i would have pulled out my 9 and blown his ass away.

Not possible in Australia. I really, really considered taking my tire iron out and beating his skull in but... the thought of jail is not a pleasant one.

It's probably best that you drove off. Chances are he was trying to do something shady and you were making it hard for him.

As for liquor, if you want a whiskey/scotch without coke and just ice, say "I'll have Maker's Mark on the rocks."

If you want a whiskey ****tail, say "I'll have a Beam an' coke."

Premium bourbons such as Maker's Mark and Knob Creek are made for drinking on the rocks, slow sipping style. If you're ever trying to impress a CEO, order a glass of Johnny Walker Blue on the rocks. It's the stuff of Presidents.

On your local bar scene, whiskey ****tails are a classic favorite. Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Wild Turkey, Canadian Club, etc. are cheaper whiskeys that taste good with a splash of coke in them. My foray into the world of liquor outside of bourbons is limited-most liqours=horrible, shoot-me-now hangovers. I've found Crown Royal to be the worst inducer of hangovers.

Gin and tonic is a ****tail that can be enjoyed by both sexes, as is the White Russian. If you are with a woman and she is ordering shots of tequila, she probably wants to fvck. Women universally employ tequila as their favorite sexual scapegoat. Get some tequila.

As for the douche you encountered on the side of the road, it's conditional. Were you in town, or on a road in the country where trees are your only audience? I would've played with him for awhile, before watching him mutilate himself at gunpoint. "Hey, I need to talk to you about something. My car's in a real bad way. I know you were messing around, but the car just doesn't get it. Of course, if you apologize, I may be able to convince him you didn't mean it."

"Huh? Fvck you!"

"Wrong Answer."

The last time I had a guy trying to attack me was while I was driving was in a parking garage. I cut him off, so he jumped out of his car wanting to fight. He was obviously into weightlifting and looked like he was flipping out 'roid-rage' style. I would drive a little bit down the garage, taunt him, and then after he came sprinting at me, drive just a little bit farther and taunt him more. We went through five stories of parking garage this way, him chasing me and screaming, face bright red and veins popping out of his head...while I leaned out my window and laughed. I am still laughing, actually, that sh!t was hilarious. :D

I have a .45 caliber handgun in my glovebox just in case something like this happens to me but I don't think I'd have to use it in that situation. If the guy reaches into my car, I'm just gonna grab his arm or shirt and floor it, let go around 70 mph or so.

But I probably would have just called the police. They're paid to deal with idiots like these.

I can't get a gun in Australia though, self defense reasons don't cut it and I'd need a legitimate excuse. Which i don't have.

It was along a large public road, which is pretty much dead at night. This was around 10:30pm, lots of dark, and a park on the other side.

The guy looked around my size, only i could feel i could beat the sh1t out of this one without too much hassle. Fck. In the end i listened to my father. Kind of regret it, kind of don't. If i see the fcker again I'm going to rape him. Figuratively and literally. I'll bust his ass with my tire iron and leave it in there. (After the ass kicking i deliver with my legs and fists)

God, such an annoying ordeal.

I always ask, "What, are you gonna shoot me??" and smile. That gets him thinking I might be carrying, which I am.

Best thing to do to the douchebag would have been to grab his arm through the wndow while rolling the window to the top locking his arm in place as you hit the gas.

No more knees and his feet just did the Fred Flintstone brake stop.

On to the drinks. Stay with the standards; Bourbon and a splash of water. Old Whiskey River, Maker's Mark and Gentleman Jack are my top three.

I think you did the right thing by leaving since you were unarmed. Sure you probably could've kicked his ass but he might have had a knife or gun. I'm not sure about AUS but in the States I can't imagine someone randomly approaching your car like that unless they were armed.
