Pathetic problem i know......

My problem is that I was really good friends with a girl, almost best friends, and I kind of got the impression that she liked me too. We got really close and I know that she did like me in that way, and I asked her out, she said yes, but then two days later said no, and that she wasnt ready for a boyfriend.

Now whenever I see her, she totally ignores me when I say hi, yet I still want to be her friend, and she just doesnt want to know.

Have I totally screwed this up (i think i have), and how can i sort this out. i sent her a text saying cant we just forget about the past and move on, she didnt text back.

What should i do, should i just totally not say hello to her anymore, or what else shall I do, it's making me quite miserable because i've lost one of my best friends.........

Move on. You were safely within the confines of her friend zone, but then you tried to rattle the cage and break free, which scared her off.

Stay away from her for the next few days --- no hanging out, no text messaging. She's not interested in you as a boyfriend/lover.

Yeah give her some space. She'll come running. (As a friend though most likely.)

Gutted bro on failing her flake test. (her saying "no")

Yeh, that's tough.

I was in exactly the same situation as you are in right now. I became very close friends with a girl, of course I got to really like her. I thought she liked me too, but when I tried to kiss her, she dodged.

I had no other choice but to NEXT her. I lost a good friend, but I am the type of guy who takes risks. I took a risk, knew there was a chance she wouldn't like it. So, I lost a good friend, but if it went right, I would have had an awesome girlfriend.
