I heard my uncle say this 2 my older brother many years ago. Recently this statement 'u only luv 1ce' has been resurfacing in my head. Yeah like so many who discover this site my reason is no different, i had a MAJOR heart break. Anyway blah blah that ws about 11 months Ago. Since then ive been with 2 extraordinary women smart & beautiful. In fact its safe 4 me to that the 1 is even more beautiful then my Ex. Im fine now, but matter Here is that i cant get myself 2 say i luv u back n mean it. Any advice?

I think it's a philosophical idea, depends on your definition of love I suppose. I've loved several times and been loved back, but it's not because of a lack of love that some of those relationships ended.

I think the idea of 'true love' trumping all other love is the same idea as the 'soulmate' or 'love at first sight' type of romanticism BS we got from the 19th century.

I guess i tend to compare the girls im with now 2 that ex. I dont now maybe am not 100% over her or ill be nomal after a few more months
