I'm too young to tell, but the ones doing well were pretty much quiet or low key. They weren't elliot rogers, but just did their own thing. I was one of those and hopefully I get a job when I graduate. The outcomes are looking great :)

The ones from my high school were the kids that took as many AP classes as they could senior year or the kids that scored a 30 or above on the ACT.

Depends what you class as succesful tbh.

Most of the "nerds" are doing pretty well financially, but still lack social skills, but in fairness they are doing better than most of the highly popular ones, the "hot girls" are mostly single mothers, and the "popular guys" are mostly the fathers of those kids.

to be honest I don't really know of anyone who did amazingly well, me and my best friend were kind of middle class guys, we were able to socialise with any group, but there was originally 5 of us guys who were really tight, all of us had decent aptitude in school but didn't apply ourselves, so we got average to good grades, we had a lot of fun though, partying and clubbing at age of 15, we just did our own thing, we got on with the popular guys and could hook up with the hot girls but the popular guys were mostly jocks, we'd drink with them at parties and that but were not into sports so we were not best friends with them, just got on alright with them, had fights with them from time to time, those kind of fights where 3 punches are thrown and you just end up wrestling until someone breaks it up.

When we left school, me and my friend sam ended up going straight into full time work which grew us up a bit, and it took some time but by now (26) we are both pretty succesful, decent jobs and nice cars, I have my own business that i'm working on providing life coaching services.

The other 3 guys in our group got slightly better grades than us and their parents paid for them to go to college, however once there they got into the drug scene, and started a band. Pretty cool when you are 18 but the problem is they never grew out of it, two of them are STILL at college, having dropped out, gone back, changed majors, resat years etc, and now they are the 26 year old pot heads who just look weird.

So yeah, success is a pretty loosely defined term
