Everyone I guess knows about Sochi by now, I'm 1.5 hours away from it in a small town, doing computer repairs, my own business. I come across here too often, notebooks that a computer repair place told need a motherboard replacement or CPU replacement. I take them apart, and take apart cooler, and discover dust between fan and radiator, and remove it, then I also get rid of thick layer of thermal paste, and everything reassemble, usually they work after this.

So an idea bulb just went up in the my head! Why should I repair these notebooks and prove to myself mostly that I am so ****ing awesome? Why not give a commercial and say that I buy broken notebooks? Repair them, and sell them, and make 10 times more than just on repairs?

I'm a ****ing genius! I'm gonna make a million with this!

This idea has a right for life, but the main problem is a competition - I'm sure that not only you can offers such services. Maybe you should check how you can be successful if you provide these services as a business.

I did this for a while in my old city. It's a good side gig for extra cash. PM me to set up a Skype meeting if you want details on common issues and how to get the word out there.

Anyone can do what I do, yes. Problem is they are lazy, and I'm assuming use compressed air to blow the radiator from dust, which results in compressing dust in between fan and radiator. I take that notebook apart, replace thermal paste, disassemble cooler assembly, remove dust, install, then remove and make sure it contacts at all places, and then reassemble and check with FurMark and AIDA64.

If cooling system is clogged or has old thermal paste, eventually notebook overheats, either video or south bridge, resin causes a short, or the chips just loose contact. I can repair that by finding and removing the short, or reballing the chip -- for which I am now buying a rework station with heat gun and preheat.

Friend, we added each other, and I just don't see you online. What time you're on usually?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

This is really interesting explanation. I hope you'll succeed with your start-up.
