I have become almost obsessive compulsive over trying to constantly eat to bulk that its actually making it harder. If i feel the need to eat a lot it messes with my mind and i cant eat as much. every second im thinking about how i absolutely need to eat but dont feel like it. its completely taken over my mind and i cant stop it. i need help

take a few days off. Start again.

Let the energy you put into your bulking = ammount of passion you have for bulking.

If the left side of the equation if bigger than the right side, you'll get burned out. (seems like your case)
If the right side of the equation is bigger than the left side, you are under achieving.

dont worry, your body doesnt know the mess your mind is in.

i had become obsessed about it too. all i ever thought about was how and when im going to eat, how to improve my workout, etc. eating was #1 priority for the day, it got to ridiculous proportions... but it was a blessing, i made great gains. once you hit your stride, it just comes naturally. you have to force the food at first, but once you get used to it eating 6 protein-rich meals/day will be a breeze.

as long as youre paying your bills, paying attention in class and being nice to your family, its OK.

The less you think about lifting and eating, the more you will gain. Why put so much pressure on yourself? Is bulking up the sole determinant of your happiness?

thats strange.

if youre struggling with your appetite, shakes are a good temporary fix. instead of just 2 scoops of whey, make rich blended shakes with stuff like peanut butter, cottage cheese, oatmeal, fruits, etc.

have a shake in place of meals to get your calories in and more importantly get your body used to consuming something every 2-3 hours. drinks are much easier to consume than a full meal.

after a while, youll become hungry when its time to have shake and can proceed to sub it for real meals. shakes are best for pre/post workout, but it helps to sub them in while building your appetite.

I used to have trouble eating in the morning.

First thing I do, have 20-25 grams of protien from whey.
Do all my morning errands (shower, email, review notes, ect.), takes about 1.5 hours.
After that, Im pretty hungry. My stomach just needs something to jump start its metabolism, either by eating or exersice as espi mentioned.
