Gets what he deserves for being an unprofessional clown and liar. All he had to do is not grab her...or in the aftermath of the grab simply say that there was a misunderstanding, that he was protecting Trump, and apologize.

Instead Lewandowski, Trump, and their followers thought it was best to smear Ms. Fields and Ben Shapiro. Lewandowski had the gall to say he never touched her or met her. And now Trump's spokeswoman Katrina Pierson is saying that they aren't planning to get rid of Lewandowski.

Trump cannot win a general election. Especially once the summer/fall commercial season starts. There's too much of a snowballing of negativity from Trump's campaign. Hillary will have a field day with him.

Its his campaign manager, and this episode reflects on Trumps campaign. How in the world can you say the behavior of a campaign manager has nothing to do with Trump and the election?

I do think the weak charge is warranted. And the weak charge wont do much to bother Lewandowski or the campaign. And no, I do not think he caused harm on purpose...I think he was just being an aggressive douche bag.

And I think it reflects badly on Lewandowski and the Trump campaign, that they were both caught in lies and caught using smear tactics. Like I said before...all the guy had to do was apologize, say there was a misunderstanding, and that he was protected Trump.

Yes it would be warranted...especially if we refused to apologize and then went on to smear the other person.

She likely wouldn't have let charges be filed if Lewandowski behaved like a mature adult about this.

Be interesting to see what happens with this. If I were Mr. Lewandowski I would argue:

"There have been a lot of people who want to hurt Mr. Trump as we all commonly know. Even though I am not officially part of Mr. Trumps security detail I am always on code orange whenever I am near him in a crowd of people. When Ms. Fields moved in the manor in which she did I subconsciously reacted without thinking about it by trying to protect Mr. Trump and keep her away from him. I did not intend to cause her any harm, I only intended to protect Mr. Trump."

Whatever you think of Trump's politics, you have to give him credit for being loyal to his campaign manager instead of throwing him under the bus like Hillary Clinton and just about any other politician would have done. This is, at worst, a very minor incident with nobody getting hurt. If the reporter was male, it wouldn't have even made the news. The CBS reporter arrested in Chicago was treated much more roughly...he was thrown on the ground by the cops and had a boot placed on his neck because I guess they mistook him for a violent demonstrator. No charges stemmed from that incident. And here we have a female reporter who was apparently herself touching Donald Trump' hand moments before Lewandowski grabbed her hand. It is ridiculous that this story is getting so much press.
