True story.

So my diabetes has been improving since I've been on Byetta shots. I was referred by my M.D. to an Endocrinologist to get me checked out thoroughly. So I'm in the waiting room and the nurse comes in to check my bp and other routines. She leaves and in walks Dr. ( for the sake of this I'll call him Dr. Jekyll ) Jekyll. He tells me to undress and put the gown on and comes back 2 minutes later. Feels me all up and down , mind you he NEVER put on gloves just his bare hands pawing on me, and then goes to tugging on my sac and dingaling, juggling my croutons and shaking my junk. Gives my balls a final squeeze and then tells me he'll be right back to get dressed.

This is the weird part I can't get figured out? He comes back in about 20 minutes later and hands me a prescription then shakes my hand and says to make an appt to come back in 6 weeks for follow up.

Two things.
1. Did he leave and go fondle some other poor guy and shake my hand with this other guys nutts still warm in his?
2. I feel so dirty and should I go back and see him?

I would have been VERY creeped out by the fact he didn't use gloves and would report him. I'm not sure I'd want to go back to him either.

I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 6 months ago, runs strong in my family. (It's a pain the the ass to have it this time of year when everyone is waving eggnog, apple cider, pie and candy in front of your face.) Stay strong and keep that blood sugar level!

Thanks, it's been a battle for almost a decade. Six weeks ago when I was only on Glucovance my A1C was a 9.5 (really bad) and my blood sugar was at the high 380's (almost walking catatonic). Since Byetta though my sugar is well managed usually in the mid 140 - 160's and Byetta has an added benefit as an appetite suppresant.

This reminds me of a joke:

"A man with a bad stomach complaint goes to his doctor and asks him what he can do. The doctor replies that the illness is quite serious but can be cured by inserting a suppository up his anal passage.

The man agrees, and so the doctor warns him of the pain, he tells him to bend over and shoves the thing way up his behind. The doctor then hands him a second dose and tells him to do the same thing in six hours.

So, the man goes home and later that evening tries to get the second suppository inserted, but he finds that he cannot reach himself properly to obtain the required depth. He calls his wife over and tells her what to do.

The wife nods, puts one hand on his shoulder to steady him and with the other shoves the medicine home. Suddenly the man screams, "DAMN!"

"What's the matter?" asked the wife, "Did I hurt you?"

"No," replies the man, "but I just realized that when the doctor did that, he had BOTH hands on my shoulder."

2. I feel so dirty and should I go back and see him?

Well, the same or similar procedure will probably not be done on a second visit, since it was already done, and if you went to a different endocrinologist then you might have to go through the same procedure for a second time. I'm not a doctor and so I'm just speaking out of my ass...
