OK, I remember reading something about if Brad Pitt juiced to get built for "Troy." Just saw some pictures of him for the movie while I waited at Jiffy Lube today... Gimme a break! He had, what, six months to look that way. No way he juiced. He would have looked alot bigger otherwise. Come on guys! Believe it or not, you can all look that way in three months. No bullshyte. Never lifted before? Even better, you will have twice the gains as others. Let's have a contest, like "Body for Life." Post your goals, current situation, let us that have experience help you plan what you need to do... You can all be the hero of "Troy," or "The Last Samurai," or whatever, in three short (but intense) months. You might even find you become addicted... It will only take 45 minutes a day...

I'm already in the middle of cutting up. I bulked up for 4 months, and then started to cut. I've been cutting for almost 2 months now.

I've lost about 12-14 lbs since I started cutting, and I can sorta see abs for the first time in my life. its awesome.

I have another 7 lbs to drop to get to 185, i give myself 4 - 6 weeks before I'm there.

I had a goal to bench my weight, I got to 185, and then decided to just cut to 185 instead of just upping my bench 10 more lbs :p.

What about you risingson? any goals?

undisputable:

After a set I usually just get up to go drink some water from the fountain.

I find that it gives me enough time to recover, it allows me to relax from the set by doing something else and it really doesn't take much time.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I am already cut (7-6% BF), I need to bulk up :) I am going to have tons of weight room time this summer.

I want to bench my own weight, which is 170. I am around 150 for bench now.

I want to be able to calf raise 100 lbs plus my own weight, as well as being able to do at least 10 45's for leg press. I can currently do 7.

This summer is gonna be fun :)

so...can we see some of these pics?

im just curious to see how built he is - it cant be that impressive if it was natural and only six months.

Heizin, I would be careful with the calf raises if I were you.

I assume you're using the machine where the weight rests on your shoulder? I've heard of people getting REALLY injured on those machines. dangerous. very dangerous

Thank you for the warning, I will keep that in mind. I guess I could move the the one the really isolated you calves; You sit, and use you calves as if you were bouncing you foot, except with a bar that supports weight on it. I just dont know how to translate the weight I am doing now on to that machine, otherwise I could change.

Heizen:

Just switch man, start off with a small weight and work yourself up until you're at your max. if Worse comes to worse you tire out too quick and you don't work it to its max one workout.

MrFitness:

My friend knows a guy who threw out his back on it. He was trying to lift too much and his form was a little off and there was some sort of noise and he fell to the ground screaming.

Also, I've read lots of articles that malign it due to the unnecessary pressure it puts on your spine which causes your spine to compact and can damage ****

I think that is because of someones bad form. You can screw yourself up pretty bad doing squats with bad form, people dont switch from that exercise.

I lift from my legs. Almost like asquat, back straight, lift with my legs, never had a problem, and I am up to 180, my goal is around 280 lbs (thats plus weight from the machine and such) I realized what I put in my post I already do haha :p

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

undesputable -- As with everything else, it depends. A minute is good, but, if you buy into the theory that a program is only as good as the time it takes your body to adjust to it, then you should vary it. One month wait a minute, the next two, and then the third what 30 seconds, etc.

What do I do? Personally, I don't think the timing is as important as the stress you are putting on your muscle. I don't even care if you switch up your exercies so much as if you make sure that every week or two you add atleast 5% - 10% (although, I do rotate my work out every month).

My goals? Right now cutting. I have to lose about 2% body fat. Main thing getting in my way? Beer.

Oh, and if you want to know what I look like, don't think of Arnold. Think more of Usher... I don't want to be huge, never will. Just well ripped.

I will answer more indepth tomorrow at work when I am sober (yes, I am working the 4th, but get double time, plus am off Tuesday, but get paid for it). Oh, and alcohol is bad, mmmk?

FitnessGuy -- Will do a Google search to find some Troy pictures. You will laugh at the idea he juiced.
