For the last year or so, I've been having a hard time getting a good night's sleep. No matter how tired I am, I can't sleep more than a few hours per night. It's like my mind is on constant overdrive and I can't shut it down enough to sleep. I have mild ADD, and my mind just seems to be running on a motor all the time. I quit taking medication for it a long time ago because I never liked how it made me feel. I wanted to concentrate on developing skills to combat this instead of medication. Does anybody have any ideas for an herbal remedy? Or at least point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Look into Valerian.
ZMA.
And Melatonin.
You may also want to look into 5 HTP too.
Also look into Relazation techiques before sleeping. Try deep breathing, soft music, visualization. Anything that will put you into a relaxed mood.

Magma, cut out all caffine to start with including coffee, tea, soft drinks. Also cut out alocohol in your case. Do exercise at least three times a week. You'll fall asleep.

If you can't find a non medicinal remedy, i suggest melatonin. It doesn't make me feel any different, just makes me sleepy at night and i don't feel like **** when i wake up in the morning, i feel pretty awake actually.
