I am so sick of seeing this drivel. Dating sites are for dating, derp. Obviously men get accused of trying to bypass dating to get straight at the sex, but I think women are just as guilty of short-cutting the process and artificially forcing it towards marriage, children, and increasingly, travel.

I mean, none of those things should be on the agenda for at least six months, and I'm being extremely generous there. But sure, since I have no idea who you really are, let's consider committing several weeks and several thousand dollars to traipse through South America with a stranger. That seems like a reasonable thing to do having just read your profile.

I think any reasonable person knows the agenda for dating is "Do I want to chance an hour of my time with this person next Thursday". Not "Is she the future mother of my children?". Not "Will she let me cvm in her mouth?". Not "Do I want to hike the pilgrim trail in Spain with this broad?" (oh fvck am I ever sick of hearing about that).

And I really have to wonder, if you're so intent on travelling with someone, why couldn't you convince a friend to come with you? Hint, hint.

Do any of you guys have background on this? Are chumps actually agreeing to this? Or does it just amount to posturing on the girls part with no real intent behind it?

Good point Brad. I've seen girls profiles that have pictures of them at all of these exotic places and had to wonder "whose the guy who paid for this trip?" I bet 9 times out of 10 she didn't foot the bill for it, it was some guy she was dating and now she's got the pictures on her online dating profile.

I was in the Caribbean a while back at a large resort. While observing, it became obvious to me that there were several women who were paid to be there in some fashion. The women were mostly 8's while the men were 5's(semi bald, fat, ugly, dorky). The guys look like what is typical with those that go overseas to find a girl.

The couples were never intimate. The man was not truly leading. The woman was never acting as if she wanted to be lead. Sometimes you would see the man try and score a kiss or something more and the woman was very hesitant.

The girls weren't slutty enough to be prostitutes. But it was obvious they weren't girlfriends or wives either. It was safe to say that the guys were hoping it would turn into something more, and the chic was just there for a free trip.

I think that's close to the truth of the matter. I'm sure there are guys out there foolish enough to try and work the sugar daddy angle, but my gut says they're not routinely getting sex out of it. In fact, I think an ex-plate of mine did something like this when she was about 18. I remember seeing some photos of her at a resort, which was interesting because at the time she said she'd never travelled before. Well, it turns out some "creepy old guy" on Match had sprung for it. She may or may not have fvcked him, not my business, she claims she didn't of course. And when the girl reneges on that tacit agreement, what's the guy in a position to do about it? Nothing!

It takes a special kind of chump to do that, but I think it's absurd to even consider taking a mutually funded trip with a woman - they are legendarily awful travel companions.

I've asked my married male friends about the holidays they take with their partners. The guys are simply doing it in the hope that it's going to be an exotic fvck-fest, they freely admit that they're doing it to be "rewarded". That's the plan of course, so far as I can tell their wives and girlfriends turn into even bigger b!tches than usual. Take the possibility of sex out of the equation and I doubt any man would voluntarily consider travelling with a woman.

I was having drinks with a few friends over NYE and my friends GF (tall blond with a body of a hb9 and face of hb6.5 or7) got a bit drunk and told me this story of a time that she went to a resort in the bahamas with a dude from an online site. She had NEVER met the dude, he footed the whole thing. He was apparently bald and awkward and wouldn't even leave the room. I can't believe she even went with him, but she did get a free trip to the Bahamas. She did admit to me (after her BF was gone) that she did find some other dude to dance and hang out with when she was there. The whole story blew my mind.

Anybody got any info on guys who let themselves get roped into a girl's travel plans? Something like "sure, I've always wanted to go to Vietnam anyway". How did that work out for them?

I'm picturing an amiable non-sexual relationship at the start, drunk sex in the middle, and hating each other's guts by the end of the ordeal.

I've never run into this but a friend of mine, after relocating to the west coast where he knew no one, did a bunch of online dating when he first got there and he told me that they were all into travel. Like about half of the hundred or so women that he actually got to coffee or a drink with were all about their careers and travelling....That's pretty much what they were about.

actually i know this chick pretty well and she LOVES any excuse to talk in detail about sex. I don't think the AFC that invited her got a damn thing from her, not even a kiss. And the other dude didn't get bang her either.....but still....messed up situation. I cannot imagine funding a vaca for a woman I never met.

An Anglosphere thing. I guess what interests me is how much of it is posturing for the outside world and how much of it they actually believe themselves.

......She works as a yoga/pilates instructor at various five star resorts all over the world, so we had everything paid for......The second night there we got into a big fight about it, but we patched things up and had a great time the rest of our stay....... Moral of the story is: don't go on exotic vacations with women, even if they're the ones paying for it. You will end up spending 75% if not more of your time doing sh*t you don't want to be doing. Better to go with a cool male friend or two, and hit up the local girls.

Oh Lawd, yoga, pilates, and travel - that's the holy trinity for modern women right there. Such an imaginative bunch.

Actually the more I think about it, the more I think that vacations are generally disastrous for relationships. Seen plenty of people come back single or break up soon after.

Two years back, one of my main women had to go to Paris for a week on business. She needed company for both corporate and client events. So she asked me to go, paid for the tickets and much of my week. I knocked around Paris during the day, attended black tie events three nights and banged this woman silly in a gorgeous hotel and a park.

It's not that unusual actually. A 22 y.o. that I was briefly dating admitted to going on vacation with older men when was 18-19. She claimed that she never had sex with but who knows. The only thing that amazed may was that she was dumb enough to admit to something like this.
