ARRRR, I got my FIRST fvcking ticket last night. I finish work at 5:00, i got a eye doctor appoitment at 5:30, and i needed to be at collage at 6:00. So im driving down a straight road, OUSIDE THE CITY, and two bike cops are hiding in the bushes, by the time i saw them, TOO LATE. 102km/h in a 60km/h zone. $317 ticket and 4 points on the record. FVCK. Im paying high enough insurence already.

and then i get to school (bartending class) and some FAT SLOB starts hitting on me.

and then when i get home I find a letter from "pension plan trustee" saying they had some computers stolen along with some of my personal information. So now i got to make bunch of calls to the gov. worn them................what a ****y day yesturday

im just venting, don't mind me.

but if you got some funy stories from your trafict tickets, i'd love to hear:D

No, I have no funny stories to report, but to say that in the United States, at least, traffic citations are public records in many instances. Where I am I can easily and quickly look up someone’s name and see all their traffic citations (for that particular county and going as far back as twenty years), but from a traffic citation I can glean their date of birth, address of then-current residence, and other information like height and weight. I can know it’s really them and not someone with a similiar name by looking at their date of birth and address or location of the traffic stop. Sometimes the addresses are different from one traffic citation to another, but of course the date of birth remains the same, hence I can partially trace the history of the places they have lived. Very often, people who get arrested also get traffic citations, hence I can link them to a criminal history. Past involvement in civil lawsuits (e.g. divorces) can also be discovered. A look through property taxes can lead to such information as how much someone paid for a drain to their house, or a search on their address can reveal how many bedrooms/bath their house has and what year the house was built. It can also be determined how much they paid for their house and who they bought their house from. You can also infer, not necessarily know for a fact, but have an educated guess whether someone is married or not by if they have any property in their name.

All this information available to anyone who wants to know and for free. More information, such as copies of marriage certificates or birth certificates, can be obtained but usually at a cost; but I just wanted to demonstrate what someone can find by themselves for free.

You forgot about the social security number being on most tickets... and yes, the county courthouse in which the ticket was given will have a copy viewable to the general public.

The funny thing is, i just set up an appoitment with an ex prosicutor, who want $1 000 to make it disapear. I'm thinking of paying him. the reson is if my insurence goes up (aprox. $30/month) for the next 3 years $1 080, and I still don't have my record squicky clean. and if I get another ticket then my ins. doubles.
