I used to be a pretty good student and i used to study almost every day. Now, since i started university 2 years ago, i have become more and more bored of school. I almost never study anymore and do my assignments and study only at the very last minute. I even failed a course for the 1st time of my life, so things aren't looking too good.

I feel so frustrated that i can't study as often as i would like. I know what i should do, but i always end up procrastinating and nothing gets done. I need to find a way to motivate myself and get the freakin work done!!!

Help, guys! Share your tips for fighting procrastination! I am sure many of us could benefit from this, as i am not the only one with this problem.

Go to the library. It forces you to do work.

thats one way of doing it, but another way is of looking into the future of when you have done it, for example say you have 2 months for an assignment and you think, if you start it now what will it be like in the future, you will get an A wont you, you will get girls wont you, you will get on the teachers good side and it will be out the way and you can come up with many reasons!

you need to look into the feature and look at all the good things that will happen if you stop coming up with LAME excuses.

good advice.

libary works to.

i just stop everything for a minute. and then sort of accuse myself of trying to hold myself back from everything i want to have.
i do this because through highschool, i wasn't a good studier, i knew i was smart but it was like, i intentionally didn't try because i was scared of taking the next step.

now i'm into university (taking the long way there -instead of straight in from highschool) and i look forward to the next step. i don't try and hold myself back.

works for me.

Let me just say this, do everything you can to stop your procrastination problem or you will end up like me.

I have forgotten tons of material from college due to procrastination and not studying. I can probably count the hours i have studied in some semesters with the fingers on my 2 hands and that's it! note that I say I don't study, i still pass my classes because i do the homework (always in the last minute) and just being naturally intelligent I somehow pass the tests with little studying. The problem is that because of my procrastination problem i just go to classes to pass them and not take in the material. If you don't spend lots of hours studying you will forget most of that stuff.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

The thing is that i don't really procrastinate when i really love the subject. I had a class this semester where we had to create a computer game that you can play through LAN, and i absolutely loved it. I worked on it every week for the whole semester and i got a nice A in the course.

Then there was this class about proving theorems and analyzing algorithms (all theoretic stuff, and no actual programming) and i failed the class. I never really liked this stuff and never managed to make myself study for it.

Interest level is so important :p No matter if you're talking about interest in your classes or a girl's interest in you..it still remains a fact.
