Get used to drinking skim milk. I get over half of my protein from drinking milk. I drink 3 liters of milk a day..usually 3 times one liter, which means:

34g of protein
460 calories
15g of fat (over here we dont have milk with 0,1% fat so I never got to try it but I prefer 1,5% milk anyways because otherwise Id probably not get enough fat for bulking...and I hardly gain any fat weight. Maybe 0,1% milk would be a option for other ppl though)

3 times a day = like 3 meals high in protein

I only meat 4 meals a day sometimes only 3 but because of the milk I drink its like I eat 6 or 7 meals a day which are high in protein.

Itll probably take some time to get used to drinking lots of milk, but its worth it and after a while ull adapt to it. Maybe u should start with 1 1/2 or 2 liters though.

Do you train? Make sure you do eat some actual food as well, eat so that you're not hungry, then add in milk. It won't help you gain that much mass though, in my opinion. But a drink that mixes protein and carbs, have it twice a day, miniumum. IF it's too expensive once a day, and eat tuna.

I gained 5 KGs (11 lbs) just by eating tuna every night after gym, as well as a decent sized breakfast. I gained another 5 kilos (11 lbs) by having a protein/carb drink twice a day. You can actually make your own one just add milk, ice cream, banana, 2 or 3 egg whites (yolks have high cholesterol), and blend them.

Tuna is high in protein, provided it's not the only food you eat (you need some carbs too) you can gain weight over time (if you workout properly). I have a tin of tuna after gym every night for abouy 4 - 5 months and gained 11lbs. I didn't really eat more than usual (except for a bigger breakfast). It's not a lot of weight I know, but do it for a year and you get 22lbs increase.

It takes time to gain weight and keep it. Your weight keeps fluctuating, but I got up to 80 kilos (176 lbs) from 69 kilos (152 lbs) in about a year and a half, but keep in mind I didn't stick to my diet the whole time, if I did it would have taken quicker.

Be patient. I have seen good changes, but of course I want another 22lbs increase this year :).

I used to make good gains when going through phases of drinking large amounts of full fat milk.

Although I understand you wanting to get bigger, I really would NOT advise madgame's tip of drinking so much milk. It can be unhealthy.

First of all, milk IS NOT--despite what all the milk ads say--as great a food as they say it is. There are a lot of toxins in it from cows. Also, it's homogenized and pasteurized, which destroys a lot of the natural enyzmes in it. Studies have linked milk to a variety of problems in humans.

So, drink milk in a non-ignorant sort of way--that is, moderately. Your diet should consist of a variety of foods. This will not only make you grow faster, but it will also make you feel better health-wise.

about 4 years or so. In the beginning I didnt drink 3 liters a day though...I rather drank like 2 at the most (didnt know much about nutrition in the beginning but just thought it`d give me the extra protein I need)

I would suggest drinking skimmilk or milk thats rather low in fat though. Otherwise you might gain lots of fat too...depends on your body-type (metabolism) and how much fat you already eat though..

It won't help you gain that much mass though, in my opinion.
I think this is not really an issue of opinions or anything. The milk I drink has these nutrients per liter:

34g of protein
460 calories
15g of fat

So one liter milk equals an average meal which is high in protein. Whether ull gain weight or not still depends on how much milk u drink, how much other foods u eat of course if you lift heavy, ...

What problems in humans have they been linked to? I just searched the web for it cause what u wrote really made me think somehow, but all Ive found is really weak studies/claims some pro milk some contra milk...like..people who drank this much milk were 10% less likely to have a heart-disease..and other weak stuff like that, nothing great though. The only study that kinda made sense to me was one sayin that milk is really great for your bones. Of course if milk was a real bad thing this wouldnt justify drinking high amounts of milk. I hope you can tell me what problems in humans milk has been linked to and show me some decent study about it.

Im trying to live healthy too and of course I dont say almost only eat milk / dairy products..of course a great variety in foods is a good thing, but if I stopped drinking milk because of those weak studies Ive found so far, I would also have to stop eating more protein than necessary to retain my weight and thus could forget about putting on mass..let alone creatine.

I think it depends somewhat on your race. I remember learning in anthropology that most whites are able to digest milk easily while most blacks, latinos, and asains are lactose intollerant to some degree. Probably because cow's milk originated in Europe so whites have genetically adapted a tolerance.

I never drink milk. (I only eat trace ammounts on my cereal every morning) No other mammal drinks milk after reaching maturity, and certaintly not that of another species, either.

Are we humans that different than the rest of the animals?

Besides, milk has beef hormones, fat, and even a little bit of cows blood in it.

Good reasoning, but I guess u should have to stop doing a lot of other things too then ;-)

What are the (exact) consequences for ppl who are lactose intollerant to some degree? just asking

Don't drink so much milk I'd advise. True it's high in protein. But it's full of Lactose. You don't want that.

I'm sorry, but I hardly believe that anti-milk article.

If the article cited studies where you could see where his "facts" come from, then I'd believe.

I have started using lactose-free milk. Try that too if you are worried by lactose.
