I matched up with what seemed to be a very good-looking woman. So I come to meet her, she calls me and tells me where she is. I went up right next to "her" looking around not recognizing the woman in the pic because she is about 40lbs heavier. Like a little bear. She stands right there doesn't say a thing, I leave and she textes me how embarrassing it was. Wtf. That's a first for me.

You did the right thing.

A dead giveaway for these types, is that all her pics will be selfies from a raised angle.

Funny. This might come in handy even if I do recognize her from a distance.

Always ask them to Facetime before meeting, I know I do. They can't hide from a live camera LOL. If they adamantly refuse to Facetime then you know they've misrepresented themselves in their pics. True story.

My personal experience most of the women look worse then their pictures. Except for one should look exactly like her picture

Wow man, you got bamboozled...lol.

But honestly that does suck. Maybe you should request more pics to make sure you can screen these women.

Her pics are at least one year old. Not a hint of fatness in them. Then to this.

Well at least you had the common sense to drop it, it happened something similar to me when I was 18 and despite the situation was exactly the same I stayed with her 20 mins before leaving just not to make her feel bad.

There was no tinder it was one of those old chats where you send and get pictures via email.

Anyway as a general rule if no body picture is available its a good idea to pay attention to upper arms, usually fatties have big guns.

I think it's hilarious when females do this. Pretending not to be fat. Instead of just getting their sh*t together and losing weight, they'd rather play make believe and use old pics. You also have the ones that feel guilty about it, and add the newer fatter pics last towards the end of their profile. So as you scroll down they get bigger and bigger... they start out bangable, but by the time you get to the end it looks like she had some tragic accident inside a donut factory and gained 50lbs.

Actually here's something I've noticed that's even WORSE. They'll make their coverTinder pic a picture with a much hotter friend or group of friends to get you to swipe right thinking that you'd be matching up with the hotter friend. Only later do you realize you got the nottie, not the hottie.

Oh god. The group pic with no way to know which one is her. And of course she's usually the ugliest one.

Intentionally uploading a pic hoping a guy mistakes you for someone else who is prettier... just think how delusional that is for a second.

It's happened far too often to be a coincidence. And I agree wrt to delusional.

Illusions... An illusion is only successful if the other person does not see the reality behind it. Thus, if you post a fake picture of yourself, and then go to meet the person then what is the expected outcome of that? The person loved the illusion, the image you put forth, not the reality behind it.
She is just hoping to draw people in with an illusion, and hope that they will just accept the reality when they see past the illusion?
Such a fallacy... But she will never understand.
