I've been lurking these forums for quite a while now and through being inactive I have been making a half-assed attempt at improving my life. So I figured I'd try what everyone else does, put it on the board in writing. I've written up a list of stuff that I need to change in my life on a post it note which will serve to remind me every day. For those of you interested, this is what I have written down.

You will not be lazy
You will go to sleep at normal bed times
You will wake up when you are supposed to
You will get in shape
You will eat and put on weight
You will not procrastinate
You will do your homework in advance
You will be more sociable, talk to everyone
You will be more responsible
You will act like a man
You will spend less time on the computer
You will go out
You will be independent

Here's to hoping I will.

My responses...
It would help if I knew if you were in college or high school or whatnot.

You will not be lazy - Way too vague. You need time to yourself to just be lazy sometimes.
You will go to sleep at normal bed times - Situational, but trying to get enough sleep each night is a good thing especially if you're staying awake wasting time and are then not efficient in the morning.
You will wake up when you are supposed to - This has to do with the previous response/goal.
You will get in shape - You can do this. Just make a schedule, become active.
You will eat and put on weight - goes with working out.
You will not procrastinate - You won't be able to do this but the fact that you'll try is good. Keep this entire list on your wall.
You will do your homework in advance - Same as above.
You will be more sociable, talk to everyone - Easy. Work on smiling most of the time first then sitting with girls in classes and talking to them.
You will be more responsible - Not a specific goal.
You will act like a man - Be yourself.
You will spend less time on the computer - This is a good goal and goes strongly with being social. Have a life and you won't be on the computer. I used to be on the computer all the time, but now I'm active in so much stuff that I'm only online late at night (like now). Always busy the rest of the day.
You will go out - Going out will help a lot of goals, the one above, being social, acting like a man, etc.
You will be independent - not sure what this means, but if it means working, that's a good thing

I'm in college by the way. By independent I mean not having to depend on anyone, doing what you want to do when you want to do. Not tagging along with someone just because that is within your comfort zone. Being independent.

Thanks for the feedback.

Find multiple social circles in college. I usually hit up parties at my fraternity (hell, I usually organize them). I have parties with the club soccer team I can hit up every weekend plus all the other fraternity parties where I know guys. Makes it easy to find something to do and single women every weekend.

Those are some good ideas. But where are these parties usually? In dorms? Clubs? I'm not too sure.

And young_gun I already play guitar. My third, newest and guitar I am most proud of is a Gibson Les Paul Studio 04. Love it.

You should be getting invited to parties. No need to look for em.

What college are you at? Where I go, there's no parties in the dorms. It's all fraternities and house/apartment parties if you aren't a freshman (live off campus). You pretty much just want to get in contact with some people (maybe wingmen) who you can hit up parties with and will call you if they hear of one. Other thing is to make friends with the Alphas, especially at parties so you get personally invited back. (another thing would be to just be the alpha, that's what I do ;-) )

McGill University in Montreal.. 1st year. I actually live off campus and not in the city (a suburb). I find it pretty hard to get to know new people since I live far away and the program I am in is very small.
