Tim Tebow, Heisman Trophy a true hero.

Too bad more athletes could not be more like him. I am not referrring to his athletic ability but it seems the guy does not let power and fame go to his head.


The legend of Tebow started at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., where he once finished a game playing on a broken leg.

Homeschooled by missionary parents who run an orphanage in the Philippines, Tebow took advantage of a Florida state law to play for Nease, about 90 miles from the University of Florida campus.

Tebow has worked and preached at his parents' orphanage since he was 15. He regularly speaks at schools and delivered his message of faith at a prison in Florida earlier this year.

"Tim Tebow is the real American hero," said Tebow's high school football coach, Craig Howard. "He's the real deal."

What's so special about an athlete who gives all the credit for his accomplishments to a judgmental ghost? His overt humility is cute in a child-like sort of way, but before it was all over, I almost wanted to gag during that speech. Had I not actually been looking at him, I would have thought a 12-year old was talking at that podium.

Does he seem like a nice guy? Yeah sure. But we have plenty of literature here on what being a nice guy will get you.

My whole point is this: Many athletes let their power and prestige go to their head. This guy does not and I respect him for it!!

Gain all the money he's gonna make in a year, for his level of naiveness? I dunno; not sure I'd make that trade. Money's overrated once you have enough to be comfortable and do the things you like.

My point is that its a little hard to be conceited when you're the best football player in college football. Conceit/arrogance deals with overestimation of one's worth. His worth is accurately pretty damn high.

What an accomplishment just to end up letting your mouth give the credit to something that doesn't even exist!

I didn't mean to suggest he can't pull women. Sure he can. With the kind of money (and power) he's gonna be looking at, plus his looks, he can act whatever way he wants.

I'm just saying women and money isn't everything. I shudder at the thought of living an ignorant and naive life, under any circumstances. Knowledge and wisdom is truly priceless.

But you see that hottie in that pic? She'll have "half" someday soon; watch and see. Others will take advantage of him too. Guys (or women) like him are like prey to me.

Why just Florida schools?

Any half way decent looking and well known (QB, RB, FB, TE, WR, LB) D-1 college football player in any part of the country can get the 9's and 10's.

I went to a D III school that had a football program that was a powerhouse.

There was this guy I knew who was a starting linebacker at 6'2" and ripped. The guy was also a good-looking guy. I remember being at the bar one night where he was sitting at the actual bar. I swear to Christ there were about 10-12 ladies (mostly all hot) surrrounding the guy.

Most Florida females are fat. Stats don't lie. Most American females are overweight and Florida is not some magical place. With numbers like that I would rather be all alone in a bar.

These stats are bull. I guarantee you there are alot of girls out there who look good, but are overweight according to their BMI. I am NOT talking about obese women, but women who have a little added thickness to their legs, etc. I don't know about you, but ultra thin girls are not that sexy and it is a turnoff.

Also, I would like to know what % of these 64% of overweight/obese adults are in the age range of 18-35?

I guarantee, the majority of obese/overweight adults are in the 40-65 age range.

I don't know about you, but I don't see too many obese young people.

BTW, there are also very few ugly women out there. The only ugly people are the ones who are obese, have horrible looking noses or have a skeletal discrepancy between their upper and lower jaws.

Guess what, all of these are 100% correctable. The last two through surgery.

There is really NO excuse to be ugly these days.
