I think they should just take that thing out of the marriage speech all-together. I mean come on, what's the divorce rate in this land? Like 50%?
The words lost their meaning completely. Wouldn't it it just be better if they say "To have and to hold, unless there is a dispute"?

Hmm...why do people get married in the first place? The divorce rates high, the rate of infedelity is high, is the kid even yours? and when you get a divorce you lose half your stuff. Marriage seems just a big joke. It seems people get married for the idea of it and not the principles.

Think about those 3 religions and what their main books are.

Only 1 of these differs from the rest.

Yes...but you still need lawyers and crap.

My parents divorce was mutual and they decided what they each wanted, etc, yet it still cost them thousands in lawyers.

If I've got to take her to court and everything it's not worth it.

Prevention is better than the cure. Especially when the cure is divorce.

In all honesty, people should just really wait to make sure it's the "right person" if they want to get married. Marriage isn't very everyone though. Especially if your family is catholic, because if you get divorced its a big bad sin.

Maybe people could marry different people every year and instead of sharing one persons life can share multiples... But the kids would be messed up because having different parents every year would make you feel uncomfortable.

in theory this sounds good but because women are so fierce in competiton and jealousy it never works out

even though it was her idea that he sleep with the chick so they could have kids

the upside would be the sex but i think having your children murdered by other wives and having wives plotting your downfall constantly would outweigh the varied sex
