Very true, I agree 100%. Here's my experience, and I've had a LOT of experience with this because I am often up against girls with BFs, and I still go after them regardless.
Basically, a girl who you are interested in and a girl who you aren't interested in can talk about the same boring sh*t with you, but you'll be more interested in what the girl who you're interested in is saying.
This one girl at work has a BF who she talks about in every other sentence. She's definitely in love with him, and it's even worse because the relationship is relatively new. She's about a 5 or 6 in my book (probably translates to most people's 7 or 8), which I guess is pretty good praise from a guy like me who has crazy standards. Anyways, I'm not even a LITTLE interested in her, but she yacks all day to me, and I got sick of it, so I started playing games with her. I would look deep into her eyes when she spoke to me, and then sometimes I'd just be doing work while she talked to me, sort of half-ignoring her and half-faking interest. She started to kino me and all this stuff, and I sort of just blew it off. It's great practice getting the right reflex to when a girl mentions a BF. The last thing you want to do is to give off any vibe of insecurity, jealousy, or whatever. You need to just make sure you're confident, and confident guys don't care. She'll say something about her BF, and I'd follow through with a question about him, and actually act interested in the answer. Shows that you're secure enough with yourself. When you're not interested, you're not interested, and being friends with this girl is perfectly fine with me because I really don't want anything more from her.
Then, there's this other girl who I also work with, who is about an 8 in my book, and she also has a BF, but I do the same thing with her with the eyes and interest, but find that it's easier to show interest because she's so hot. I'll actually be absorbing more of what she says because I want to make sure I can use it later. For example, she'll tell me where she's from, the college she went to, the name of her sister, etc., and I'd store it away and use it later. An example of this would be like we'd be talking about school a few days later, or a week later, and I'd say "so was it like that over at [insert her school]?" It's like gold I tell ya.
Or, here's another good one, you meet some girl, and if she has the same name as the girl's sister, then you say "hey, she has the same name as your sister." Make it pretty nonchalant. I've gotten amazing responses from women when I remember all their names and something about them. It takes practice, but you come off smelling like a rose.
Did I go off on a tangent?
