I see alot of people on these forms who are amazing. They learn from everything, getting better and better every day. These people are true Don juans. They enjoy their lives, and they always live them to the fullest

Unfortunatly, though, i also see the opposite. Often people are searching for an answer. They look more and more, trying to find something, even though they arent even sure what they are looking for.

The Problem is...

These people are looking for an excuse. They keep searching more in the outside world trying to find something to point their fingers at. Its a way to keep happy... in a depressing sort of way.

The truth is in yourself. Stop searching. The key to this chest of knowledge lies within the head of yours. Its not someone elses fault you didnt snag that #... it's yours.

I know this because i've gone through it over and over again. Thing is... I never quite realized it. You gotta take responsibility and the pains that go with it, or you'll never improve. I just wanted to bring this stuff into light.

THANK YOU!

finally, somebody wrote whats wrong with this forum in plain ole' english.

most of the weekend warrior djs on this site talk about this or that aspect of djing, giving advice to others that they themselves barely understand. by doing this they convince themselves that they are getting better at the game just by typing some useless crap into a computer.

what you guys fail to understand is that its simply not enough. you ARE NOT getting any better by sitting there reading this, and you ARE NOT getting any better by spewing out the same bible material that you have had in turn spewed onto you. This, as souperman says, is just an excuse you make for yourself to pretend that your improving in a meaningful way. your not

go out, try new things. improve yourselves because this site is only the door, YOU have to open it

as my signature says, DJing is 10% knowledge, 15% creativity and 75% grabbing-your-balls-and-taking-charge

GRAB YOUR BALLS TODAY!

defintely important to get the experience before during and after usinf the forum. This thread goes into the arguement of why all the great posters are gone cuz thewy are putting into effect that which they have learned. ON the other hand though, it doesn't matter if you are DJ, Senior DJ, masture DJ, Senior citizen Dj, Minor DJ(I'm making most of these up.) sometime people who are new to the forum do get enlightened ideas, and that shouldn't be put down.

Of course not, people need to come here to learn what do in the field before they do it.

My post may have been misinturpeted by many people though, i ment that people need to take responsibility instead of finding excuses and blaming their actions on other things. Not nessacarily just getting out into the field.
