Anybody watching it? I don't follow wrestling like I used to, the current product is completely dull, boring and corny. But I'm still a subscriber to the WWE Network and I'm going to be watching tonight. My boy Brock Lesnar should be kicking some a.ss ;)

Yea, I want to watch it. I'm taking a flight to Houston though with no wifi so I'll catch it later on.

I watched it with great interest in 2004, guess its was one of the last years before they turned wwe into a kid friendly product and stopped following it.

Those wrestlers were really cool to me, I remember when I was hitting the weightroom with my friends we were all the time talking about getting buff as them.

I watched it. Been following WWE off and on the past few years after really being into it as a kid.

Overall, was decent but the ending made me remember why I stopped following it.

Jesus fvcking Christ. There's this thing now called MMA where the fights are actually real, You could pay $20 to watch amateur fights in person, instead of a choreographed fake fight on TV for $50. Even with mma amateurs, the part where they try to hurt the other guy is no acting.

It was definitely surprising. Didn't think HHH was still in the game.

Bible Belt, you're trying to compare apples and oranges. People who watch wrestling watch it BECAUSE it's scripted, not in spite of it. They get into the colorful characters and storylines. It's like watching a movie, or as I've seen it best described, a "male soap opera".

I don't find current WWE product that interesting though. They don't push the right people, and they don't have guys like The Rock or Stone Cold to drive it.

I started watching it back in the 80s, it was like a sitcom. Plus it motivated me to stay in shape.

Are you still in shape?

I watched the show last night and noticed that HHH's body is getting worse. Guy is 46.

I make it a point to stay in shape but I'd be lying if I said I had the body I did when I was in my 20s and 30s. Look at Vince McMahon. He's jacked, but he's 70 years old. At a certain age, you probably shouldn't be showing your body off to the public so much anymore. An 80 year old is an 80 year old, no matter how fit he is.

That is my opinion, but I am probably more modest than most. I just know I don't want to see it. I don't care to see a lot of these female whales on the beach either, lest you think I am being misandric.

I agree with the product being dull because they are pushing the wrong people and working up the wrong storylines. For example:

- The Roman Reigns guy: He shouldn't say much to anything AT ALL and he DAMN SURE shouldn't smile that often. He should just show up and selfishly kick everybody's a.ss who gets in his way and not apologize for it. Show up, kick a.ss and leave. Instead, they have this guy talking on the mic and he can't talk worth a shyt, or they try to have him cut jokes. Or they have him calling Ambrose or the USOs his "brothers", but for some reason when Reigns is getting ganged up on they are never there to rescue him, so how the fvck are they his "brothers"? Reigns should be booked like Bill Goldberg was when he first came out, he walked alone, showed up, kicked a.ss, didn't say hardly shyt, and left.

- I think they have the TALENT, they just have very bad creative right now. Plus Monday Night Raw is way too long, if they want to do 3 hours for the advertising revenue, have the 1st hour or 3rd hour be NXT. No solitary wrestling show (other than a PPV) should be 3 hours long.

If they fixed the creative and pushed the right guys (based on fan response) the show would be totally different.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Agreed. Guys who scream, "You like RASSLIN??? ho he harrr IT'Z..FAKKKKKEEEE!!! lulz 111" are so damn douchey to me (sorry BB, just a pet peeve). I think even 6 year old kids in 1988 knew that wrestling was indeed fake.

That said, I agree with the other takes. The drama and electricity is gone. The crowds don't even cheer anymore. I figure it's mostly complacence because there is no real competition since WCW folded. However, I do think UFC probably took a lot of wrestling's fans over the years.

Triple H is too old to be believable as the WWE champ. These geezers shouldn't be putting themselves over. They need to put the strap on AJ Styles fast. I saw a few episodes of Lucha Underground and it completely blows away WWE.

Tenacity, I totaLly agree with you and the others who say Raw is too long at three hours. Three hours is too long for a wrestling show, no wonder people are losing interest.

I think one of the best characters I ever saw on WWE is Randy Orton.

There are not many wrestlers like that anymore. Now they either talk too much or act too goofy.

Lol, I-m amusing myself watching you guys discuss this stuff. The whole thing is so alien round this parts hahaha. I just can't understand your excitment, just like I don't understand baseball. Hey, Im not judging here, I know these are childhood things and you wouldn't understand bullfighting for example. But it's just funny to see how these kind of things differ from country to country.

deesade,

I agree with most of your points. Also with Reigns, the guy was over when he was back in the Shield because he didn't talk much. He just came in, kicked a.ss, and left out of the ring, they let Ambrose and Rollins do the talking.

That's how the Reigns character needs to be, but instead they have this guy talking on the mic (and he can't fvcking talk) and trying to cut lame jokes, it all comes off fake as hell and not true to the character.

I wouldn't even give Reigns a manager, just make him a Goldberg like character where he has no friends, shows up, kicks everybody's a.ss, and leaves. If he says anything just say, "Believe that" or something short and sweet, NO long promos. When the Reigns music hits, it ought to have that Brock Lesnar "somebody is about to get hurt" type of feel to it.

Also I think Bray Wyatt and Kevin Owens are both the shyt, the New Day is a nice comedic act to keep the tag team titles relevant but they have no damn other relevant tag teams to feud with other than the boring a.ss Usos.

A lot of MMA fights are set-ups. The idea from the beginning is for one guy to look good and win. When a big promotion comes to town, usually they pick a local promoter to make the under card fights. That guy inevitably owns a gym and has his own fighters, so he will set them up with horribly over-matched opponents, all to make his gym look good. The fight is real in that both guys are trying, but the outcome is a predetermined conclusion.

Regarding Reigns: I think the mistake was choosing him to be the man just because he happened to be the biggest guy in The Shield. But that's been a problem with Vince McMahon from way back. Both Ambrose and Rollins have more charisma than he does.

They did make Rollins the man for awhile there until he got hurt, but that was as a heel, which is a little different.

Triple H winning is a joke. Hopefully it's not Reigns vs. HHH one on one. Maybe the return of Rollins, or Ambrose gets inserted anyway? They always do a triple threat at Wrestlemania anyway. And for the record, Bray Wyatt is nowhere near ready for Lesnar.

Just for ****s. I'm throwing up my pure fantasy Wrestlemania dream card (I know half of these can never happen.) Let's see some others too...

-----

WWE Championship - Triple Threat
Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose

Retirement Match (they'd both retire)
The Undertaker vs. Sting

Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar

Hulk Hogan vs. John Cena

The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels

Steve Austin vs. CM Punk

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Cesaro vs. Sandow vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Rusev vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe

Goldberg vs. Ryback

Womens Championship
Beth Phoenix (or Chyna 1999) vs. Kharma

IC Championship
Goldust vs. Cody Rhodes (ditching Stardust gimmick)

US Championship
Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara vs. Kalisto

Tag Team Championship
The New Day vs. The Wyatt Family
