Long story short,

I'm sensing that my LTR's interest declining recently... still to a stage she wants to see me but not as enthu as before.

She's being inconsistant towards me for around 2 weeks (sometimes i did the right thing, sometimes AFC)

And.... i'm suffering....

I just want to know, when's the right time to dump a LTR.?

The point when you feel your heart aching and suffering, is this the right time to break off the ties? Or am i pulling the trigger too soon?

I'm getting tired.. I feel like giving myself another 2 weeks and be unavailable and more of a challenge to her.. If things doesn't turn well, i'm out.. sounds good enough?

Dont do what i did, and keep saying "i'll just give it some time"...do it sooner rather than later-- if you're not completely satisfied with the relationship, im willing to bet that either she isnt either, or she's gonna pick up on your dissatisfaction and then it's a spiral downwards.

Be the decicive one, be the one with a backbone, and call the shots--if she's the one to call it off (unless your desperate for an out), it's gonna feel a lot worse.

When you start having thoughts like these is the ideal time to break things off...

Like Roobs said it's either you grow a pair and do it... Or she'll break your heart and do it first...

you should break it off 2 weeks before you start sensing things are going down hill :p

but given that you cant be psychic, when you start to "suffer" its definitely time to stand up for yourself.

when is the right time to take your hand off the stove?
when is the right time to pull your finger out of the electric socket?
when is the right time to abandon a sinking ship?
when is the right time to use your brain?

Dude, the BEST thing to do--if you want to keep your manhood and have a shot at getting her back 'someday' later--is the Pre-emptive Breakup. You dump her when you sense she's losing interest(and her signals are strong it seems)--but it takes BIG balls to pull off. And you HAVE TO stick to the plan.

Just tell her "This just isn't working for me anymore, but I'd really like to keep hanging out. Cool?" Use as few words as possible and don't get caught up in an emotional discussion. Be brief, bright and GONE. 80% chance she'll be shocked. People (especially chicks) always want what they can't have. Then, you distance yourself, maybe check in once/week. NO SEX with her.

Got it!?

Then, you start going out on "starter" dates with chicks that are maybe 6-7/10 to build your confidence back up and to be seen out. Like batting practice.

The pre-emptive breakup has a HUGE success rate for me. Usually the chicks would start calling in a week or so asking "why?" or when we would talk as now friends, I could just sense things were different on their end (like they really missed me). Thing was, after a week or so, I wasn't interested in any of their BS anymore and moved on. One former gf and I did actually become really good friends after.

BUT it takes balls to do and STICK TO. You will be a lifetime member of her personal AFC Club if you do this and then take her back in a week or so. Six months is the bare minimum for staying out of a LTR with her.

Good luck.

Out of curiosity, what have you done in an attempt to get things back on track?

good grief, Lastman...You don't even know for certain that this girl is a hor.

this sounds like a decent plan to me. But ultimately, you need to develop the mindset that any girl who brings you more pain than happiness gets DUMPED. Is there really anything special about this girl that warrants tolerance of her disrespect?

Alright I'm out...

My patience has run out.

Yesterday, we contacted on the phone when I was having dinner with my family, she asked me where am i and suspects that i was out with some girls. (I sometimes told her about the girls around me) I joked that "wow Darling, I have told u many times that i'm out for a family dinner." She then put down the phone in an impolite tone saying she's busy. I was like... Fine,

She called me today, I told her that i'm going for a vocal class with a female platonic friend, she got pissed, and argued with me (I tried keeping it cool) and she put down the phone without any goodbyes whatever (Bad Attitude) She's not like this when i first know her.... Dammit

Half a day later, I called her for some other stuffs (involving my work, non-relationship thingee) She speaks to me in a very impatient tone, throwing another temper again, saying she's cooking..... I said "Hold hold.. I think we will talk later when the 'fire' has diminished". She said Bye and putdown hastily out of temper..

I'm dam pissed with this attitude and definately it has crossed my fuking Line. I'm a MAN not a Jellyfish with no backbone. FukK!

like what the previous poster says.. "
"This just isn't working for me anymore, but I'd really like to keep hanging out. Cool?" "

Take that you Biatch!
