This section is an AWESOME IDEA, funny that I never noticed it before. LOL.

But the main problem is the compatibility issues at hand. This is like an online dating site. You still have two people that are too poorly matched. In this case, we are talking mainly about skills. And for some people, the other person's personal style and looks might matter too.

For example, one guy might dress VERY nicely and be pretty good looking with the matching confidence. He just needs someone to work with. Now if some short, round, balding 37 year old guy came around to this guy and asked him to wing with him you would understand his trepidation, no?

If I do recall correctly it was that dude who went on the show Elimidate (he's a member here) who said that he's open for hooking up with wingmen here, but are afraid that some of the guys might be TOTALLY socially inept, awkward looking guys.

And he is absolutely right. Style, smoothness, and looks compatibility certainly do increase the effectiveness of a DJ Tandem.

(Now don't get me wrong.... some guys can totally overcome their lack of looks or style for example, with some STRONG convo skills. But right now I'm talking about the absolute ZEROES who are still struggling with getting phone numbers and saying 'hi'. These guys should NOT be looking for wingmen, but instead practising on their own for now.)

I would like to see how the DJ-Wingmen here resolve that issue. :)

This one's pretty straight-forward. If you meet someone and figure out that you don't wanna chill with them again, then don't.

The problem i have with the whole DJ, sosuave gimmic on this site is just like the whole "I know more then you Music mentality" and "I'm too artsy for you" mentality of people.

Everybody brags on this site, but most of the stories are full of BS.

Regarding Wingmen, most people's wingmen are their friends. And unless you have created a clone of yourself, everybody is going to be different.

Your friend might like rap, you might like rock. Yeah, when your 16, most of your friends might sort of like things you do, but as you get older, you have a variety of friends because you have become a person filled with variety, or at least you should have.

THere is nothing sadder then a 30 year old MAN, who is still stuck on being the same person he was at 16. Yeah, you should always keep your childlike attitude and never change for anybody, but life changes people, if you like it or not.

SO this whole theory about, MY WINGMAN isn't me, hello, he isn't suppose to be.

Maybe he isn't so DON JUAN like you are, but I bet he has few things he can teach you that you never knew existed.

As you get older, most of the friends you had when you were youger, aren't your friends any longer anyway, it's just the way it is.

True, some people need some socialization skills, but if this whole DJ thing is suppose to make you a better person, how is putting everybody thats not exaclty like you, making anybody a better person.

Weren't we suppose to get passed all that crap years ago.

I had found that my best wingmen had only a few similar interests as me. We all had the same opinion on how to meet women but at the surface we were all different as night and day.

It worked out perfectly since having a myriad of combined interests, it was easy to fit into have conversations about almost any topic when we flew a mission. Think of it like a football team, there aren't 11 quarterbacks on field at one time.

Good for you.

ANd that's exactly my point Francisco d'Anconia,

maybe one of your friends, if not you, is the master don juan charmer, the other guy is sitll learning or blah blah blah and so on.

If you can learn something from somebody as well as be able to teach them something, how is that a bad thing. As long as everybody has the same goal in mind, like your football reference,
you should be fine. Unless your small minded and can't see beyond your own mirror.

Good for you though,

Sorry, my intention wasn't to offend anyone. It was a genuine query. But still, I don't see a 22 year old and a 43 year old DJ together. Perhaps talk about life, since the older man might have a lot of general wisdom to dispense, but otherwise, no.
