Whether you’re ready to believe it or not, the world we live in is not our only form of existence. There are infinite worlds beyond and beneath. Earth is like a stepping stone in the game of life – a playing field to be used for experiencing, which leads to learning and inevitably growth of the soul. I don’t blame any of you who “know” I’m a liar, because it’s something I couldn’t fully believe until I saw for my Self.

If you’re one who “knows” I’m a liar, kindly press your browsers back button and continue strategizing how to nail your next mindlessly shallow hb. You aren't ready yet. This article is for those who know there’s something greater to life and are dying to find It, but can’t seem to put their finger on It. (Ohhhhh)

This is inspired greatly by Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now, and the book is life-changing to say the least. If my words click with you, get to the library and read his book.

You have an ego. The ego is who you believe to be your Self. It is the constant barrage of thoughts flying through your head at all times, but it thrives especially on negativity. Thoughts like anger, jealousy, deceit, and fear are very dangerous because they can fuel themselves and turn into downward spirals of negativity. Your thoughts are the source of ALL pain in your life.

Man is literally possessed by the ego, but it’s so sneaky that we believe it to be ourselves.

The ego is constantly analyzing the past and imagining possible futures. “Did I say the right thing? What did she think? What did she mean when she said this? Should I call her today or wait X days? What might go wrong when/if she goes out with me? If I actually get the chance to nail will she think I’m any good?”

WHO GIVES A S H I T !

Answer me this. Have you ever once experienced a moment of life in the past or in the future?

DUH! Life always has and always will exist NOW and ONLY NOW. Nothing is more certain.

Hey Aaron what time is it?

The time is now, Slick. An always-changing but never-ending NOW. The past and future and illusions of the mind. So why do you spend all this “time” judging and worrying about your past or creating anxiety and anticipation about your future? Because you define yourself by what you think about. This is the error or man. You are not your thoughts, and you CAN rise above them.

Warning: If you take this seriously and apply it to your life, it WILL change your whole perception on reality almost immediately. It’s simple and straight-forward too.

Observe your thoughts. Remove your Self from all emotion and rise above them. Laugh to your Self as you witness your ego bicker and fight with itself. Believe your ego to be separate from your true Self and it will become so! Once you no longer attach your existence to the thoughts of your ego, its negative emotions no longer control you. You never again have to worry or fear, PERIOD!

Even your greatest fear, death, no longer touches me. I don’t even look both ways when I cross the street anymore. I’ve died a million times before and I’ll die a million times more, but I’m still here because there's always more to learn. Life and death is all a big joke.

The outside world is a beautiful place, quit fearing it and start living your life in the NOW.

Do as you do and don’t look back.

I think the great Bongwater once sampled this guy speaking on the track The Drum, and I like what he said. Something about living in the Now and 'because the thing is not Me it can only affect Me if I let it.' That him?

Might check him out further now, thanks.

I remember that book, influenced my life quite a bit. Too bad it is just an ego booster...

If I went around 'preaching' like you I would have gotten my head stomped long ago.

I really think you still have a big ego Aaron. I mean seriously, ego is not only negative, it's also positive extremes.

sin/evil? How about calling yourself, and allowing yourself to be called 'the great'?

I live my life in the NOW, don't doubt that, you would be happy. There are many things you've yet to learn, so don't be calling yourself 'the great' in front of me unless youcan back it up.

Oh brother I'm the first to say I have LOT to learn, and yes I still have an ego. Thats why I'm still living on this Earth, but I love it. Aaron the Great? Don't take it too seriously. Alexander gets credit for my choice of name on this internet forum. Day to day I'm just Aaron.

Just the same, I am great. You are great. So is the next guy. The problem is a lot of people don't know it, and the best way I know to help them find out is to lead by example.

The reason I "preach" all this is I'm thankful to those who did the same for me. People need a push, or many pushes, before this kind of thinking really registers. Thanks for your post!

I like your writing skills. Your confident about being happy in life, I don't know why that is a hard trait to find.... Heh, I'm just a very confused young man. Please excuse what I said above:)

Oh yeah your welcome for the comment, and thanks for backing up your namesake.

it's nice to see people sharing the same kind of thoughts with me nowadays about the treasure we have: TIME.

Living the moment and trying to sense it fully (not only hearing but listening, not only looking but seeing, not only touching but feeling) have changed my life noticibly recently. Thinking of ourselves as a realm man, confidence boosting attitudes etc., all of these are drops of water when compared to the ocean Aaron has presented here. "Tasting" the "NOW", trying to absorb the moment with as much sense and awareness as possible are what this world is worth to living for.

Nice and meaningful post Aaron, I hope we can enjoy and taste more of this wonderful world as "Time" passes :)
