What status are we talking? The doctor and software engineer, most of the times, are not ****ing hot girls.
As for fraternity, you do know that MOST kids in Greek Life are rich right? They come from rich families, drive nice cars, and have parents willing to help them pay thousands of dollars a semester to go Greek.
As for life after college, guys working as bartenders and club promoters get way more p-ssy than some guy working as a software engineer making six figures. Who has REAL potential there now? The answer is obvious.
The club promoter will burn out most of the times and be left with poor job prospects while the software engineer, if he is good, will get wealthier and wealthier.
Who is getting hot girls though?
Think those tech millionaires in Silicon Valley are getting hot girls outside of escorts?
Think most of Wall Street is really getting hot girls?
Women SUCK at evaluating status and hot girls are the worst at it.
Even if the banker or software engineer gets with a hot girl, he is paying out of his ass for it and most of the times it is the dreaded LTR, not the desirable ONS or same night lay.

As a software engineer working with a lot of others I can confirm. Software Engineers don't get the pvssy or hot wifes. Same time when I observe who girls hook up in clubs I totally don't understand what criteria they use to choose.

Plenty of software Engineers have hot little Asian tester wives. Guy at my last work had a stunning police woman she liked to wear the handcuffs at home. Another guy from the same gig was short and balding had a stunning blonde chek wife. They were hard working guys who didn't take any s*** and had a good sense of humour and were into outdoorsy stuff. I'm sure the proverbial muscular millionaire is getting laid but plenty of other guys are too it just ain't that hard.

Status is in the eye of the beholder. YOUR opinion or my opinion of 'status' is completely irrelevant. It is all up to the woman... Sorry you missed this, but really your opinion of status is completely meaningless. It is the woman that decides if a man's status means her requirements.
Not sure what your point is here, but money isn't something that drives the interest of women, unless she is a gold digger... and no one wants those chicks. It is what that money represents that women find attractive, and it is some level of status. Also the willingness to spend money is attractive to women, not the money itself. You could be a multi-millionaire, but if you live modestly, then you will not be as attractive to chicks as the guy that goes into debt so that he has nice clothes and a car.
Women are freaks... they like sex more than we do... Hooking up with bartenders and club promoters is little more than drunk chicks using a living vibrator. These guys get more play because the bartender is putting himself in proximity to women looking to hook-up. If the software engineer went out and did this on a nightly basis, he would eventually have the same success as a bartender, as long as he develops the skills to pull chicks in clubs.

I will repeat what I said in my original post.... you will NEVER, EVER be around as many hot chicks with built in rapport then while you are in college. You do not have to work to make this happen... you are already there. AFTER college, you have to put effort into being around hot chicks, and if you are willing to go out every night then you may be able to replicate the opportunities you have in college, maybe.... but if your life is clubing and gaming chicks, you will have some short term success, but at some point you have to pay bills.

Nope... you are wrong... they are actually VERY GOOD at evaluating a man for what she wants at THAT particular emotional moment she is experiencing. If she just wants to fvck... she is damned good at being able to find the dude that will fvck her and not make a big deal out of it. Your problem is that you are imposing YOUR values and what YOU think is status of the chick. Chicks are emotional, they live in the moment. They are capricious and fickle. She is not ALWAYS going to be looking for the dude with high status.
The truth is that if you are with a hot chick. 9-10s, eventually she is going to fvck some other dude. It will happen, just get used to it. She can not help herself, if a another dude comes along and pushes her buttons, and you are complacent, she will cheat on you. She has to believe that you are the very best she can ever do, then in this case her loyal to you serves her, and she will be loyal. I would NEVER try and make anything work long term with a 9 or 10 period. It's just too much fvcking work.

First of all, I think you are overhyping college a bit too much with your post. The reality is that the only guys who had success or even a chance with top tier girls in college were high status frat boys and athletes, majority of the other guys were lucky to get much of anything.
The sorority girl might have sat in the class arts elective as a computer science major but that does not mean a thing, she was going to get with the fraternity brother she meets at mixers. In fact I would say college was even more strict with this sort of stuff than life after it since girls already knew who they wanted to sleep with and if you weren't on the list, you were SOL.
For your software engineer going out example, you're wrong there.
The bartender gets laid because he actually has status in that scene, a random dude cold approaching girls does not have that same status. Most of the times, that guy will have to rely on dumb luck if anything and even then the hottest girl in the bar will hardly give him much of a chance. Girls want to say they slept with a bartender, they don't want to say they slept with some random guy they met at a bar.

No, it's an honest purpose if a guy wants to do it and anyone who judges him needs to work on their own lives first. I admire the guy who can be honest about it over the rat who lies about it when he is really just lying to himself.

Who is over-hyping anything, it is a FACT that while you are in college you will never again be around he QUANTITY of attractive, single women in you life. That is all I am saying, I really have no idea what you are getting at. Women will always chase status... what is status to her is up to her. If she believes frat boys and jocks are status then sure... but there are women who think their college professors are status, and they will chase them. The common denominator with all three is that these guys have sh!t going on in their lives. If you are a dude and all you do is go to class and study, without any other interests or purpose to you life, then you are just ordinary. My advice to any guys in college is to get involved with clubs groups.... hell anything. Have a plan in life... socialize, and women will find you.

Really don't understand your point. You have completely miss-represented what I am saying. I never said you had to have a 'white' collar job to have women attracted to you. Chicks dig soldiers, policemen, firemen, and bouncers, but if you are a 'fat' version of any of these with body odor you are NOT going to have success. You will also not have success if you do not put yourself in places where WOMEN ARE.
Step 1: Be the best man you can be.
Step 2: Put yourself in a position to meet women (go to class, go out)
Step 3: Approach and make something happen.
In college Step 2 is taken care of, you don't have to do anything else accept show up.
I will say again NEVER in you life will you get around as many attractive women where you have built in rapport, than college. Almost ALL of the chicks in college are single. After college, going forward you have to put effort and spend money finding women. 75% of women I hit on now are married or in relationships. And the ones that are available probability 75% are damaged by previous relationships.

This happens a lot when I get into debates on the board. Eventually it comes out, the statement: "Not all _______ is like that." I get that not ALL situations are the same... Yea... I you went to college at a Roman Catholic seminary you will not be around chicks. So I will say again, when I make comments I speak in general terms. In MOST cases, college is the best situation that MOST dudes will find themselves in. But you know what... where you go to college is pretty much sh!t you control. If you find yourself at a University that doesn't have chicks... well... that is on you.
Having built in rapport gives you something to work with, it gives you a purpose to your approach. But you are right, I never said ANY dude can get ANY chick, she has to find you at least passably attractive, and unless she is interested, nothing you do will help you. If you are not the best man you can be, you will lazy your way out of a larger percentage of chicks that will want anything to do with you. But you can be the most attractive man in the room, but if you do not approach and try to make something happen, you will not have success either.
