The Next Level

my girlfriend and i have been together for 8 months now and when i told her i got her a suprise for her birthday she said "oh, oh.... i get nervous about suprises"

also, i think she is afraid to move to the next level in our relationship (which includes alot of sex and alot of bonding time) because she is afraid of being hurt.

So my question is, how do i have her feel she can trust me so that we can move to that next level?

well, i mean taking the relationship a step further...

she really should trust you by now...it's been 8 months. just ask her directly why she is afraid of surprises. ask her if she honestly trusts you, just have a frank discussion. you need to have these issues out of the way before you can move on to the next level.

I don't think of it like levels. It's just a gradual incline. You don't just one day move in with each other do you? No, you start hanging out a lot. She comes over more and more, then one day it's like, what the h3ll? Don't think of it like levels, just go with the flo. If you want to see her more do it. But don't make a drastic change on her. She'll probably freak out. they all do.
