This is a true and very valid point.

Internet never forgets and never forgives.
It can come right back at ya 10-15 years later when you least expect it.

I can understand and respect why the owners of SS has the forum semi open to the internet for SEO and marketing reasons; but on the flipside I think a lot of members including myself would appreciate a lot if the privacy bar was raised a notch so only members could read inside the forum and its content.

Especially in these time of the crazy wokeness warrior movement, #metoo and political correctness and not to forget the ever increasing government surveillance of normal lawful citizens on the internet which in my humble opinion is also going the wrong way. (The horror example is China with it's social credit system). It only require some woke attention seeking journalists to start deep diving and investigate members here and we might be phucked together real hard in real life as they find our real life identities and doxx SS members...

SS would be a very easy target for mainstream media in these times and cash cow for them to home in on and milk to the fullest...

The times and the social/political climate has changed a lot since the 90'tes (when SS started and "The game" book by Neil Strauss was published), where all these things were totally fine and accepted, (and those that was some what offended just ignored guys like us / forums like this. Not so anymore were every useful idiot has a voice to be heard from their smartphone. In the past they would have been completely ignored).

Why do you fellas feel the need to protect/shield your opinions? Be proud of your thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and opinions.

In fact, I want the world to know what I stand for.

On the flip side, I know I am not perfect and constantly evolving. If I say something that doesn't age well, then that is just part of my growth and my past.

Ultimately, I am not here to cater to people's every sweet emotion and caress their delicate egos. If someone gets hurt or offended, that is THEIR problem. And they need to learn how to regulate their emotions better.

I always keep in mind that we at peak hours have 5 times the guests (lurkers) on this board. There aren't that many active posters so it often feels tight knit, but there are a lot more eyes on the posts being put out there then a lot of people realize.

I am not sure who you are and don't care however your friend sarnant also became a member of loveshack.org (LS) after she was banned from SS and was quickly banned from LS for being a fraud. She posted some very negative shyt about the men here and their opinions and was also caught in many MANY contradictions.

I have nothing against her personally except I don't trust her and I don't believe she is nearly as "innocent" and naïve as you believe her to be. JMO but please know I am highly intuitive and perceptive, more than most but won't get into that.

I am not accusing you of anything but I am suspecting YOU may be her posing as a man; I don't care I am just saying it's a mistake to fully trust anything anyone tells you on the internet.

Retroactive morality is in vogue right now. What someone said 15 years ago is judged by today's standards, naturally without context. You think "men have a pen!s" isn't controversial in 2010, but could you lose your job over saying that in the wrong context now?

In this thread, different users want different levels of privacy. One solution is to make some forum areas 100% public and others entirely private. You can rely on the news for various things, but nuance is rarely one of them. I'd favor having some private forum areas on SoSuave.
