How interesting
A year after their marriage in Las Vegas in 1989, he signed a prenuptial agreement that entitled her to half his fortune, but she has claimed only a third.
Maybe they got a bad prenup? It seems that she was nice to him only claiming a third.

I was under the impression that a prenup meant that the man kept everything and the vampire got nothing.

Nothing insane about it, perfectly rational in the western sphere, after all she was clearly a reason for his mass of wealth, i mean if it was not for her i doubt he would have been has succesful (sarcastic).

The only insane thing is:

Getting married, sorry but the one who is sane is the wife, the one who is insane is Micheal Jordan.

No sympathy, he is just another statistic.

Does not matter who you are, Ether Mills will get a nice fat pay out too.

sound like a loving trusting human being?

Not from where i am sitting, sounds more like social rape, or financial marriage prostitution.

The final severance package for Juanita Jordan includes the couple's seven-acre estate in Chicago

(yeah, it's the big one with the basketball court)

MJ is an idiot with his personal life. Now we're going to see him hawking underwear for years to come. I bet elementary school kids these days think of him as an underwear salesman who maybe used to do some unapparent sports thing.

You can't get those kind of odds on the lottery, thats for sure!

Why work to become uber-wealthy when all you gotta do is spread your legs?

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

A prenup(premarital) agreement can be whatever you both want it to be. If an average Joe marries a rich female actor, the "prenup" might be drawn up to protect her assets instead of his.

Assuming the female is a vampire is a bit out of date now. Its not that unusual at all for a female to be the one who makes the most, or perhaps even the sole bread winner.

I watch Judge Judy often when I get home. I see more male vampires that come on there than female vampires. Just calling it like I see it.

A sign of more male vampires, or a show catering to a mostly female audience?

I'll go with the latter

The interesting thing is that he signed a contract a year after they married (a pre-nuptual ) entitling her to half his fortune. Even though she only asked for a third (what a dearheart) she's still entitled to it. HE agreed to it when he didn't need to. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

What's interesting though is the fact that he felt his freedom was worth 168 million. Makes you wonder what their relationship was really like.

"Well Mr. Jordan, you can pay $168 million or you can keep listening to this same old Michael-Jackson-looking nag, b!tch, complain and hold out on you like she has for the past 17 years."

"Where do I sign?"

I'd give it to her on one condition. She has to go one on one with Charles Barkley in a pickup game. I'll make it fair though she only needs to make one point, he has to make two points.

Whomever wins get the cash from MJ.

Goddamnit she should have to at least try to work for that kind of jack.

"The final severance package"
You gotta love terms like this. CEOs of major corporations don't see this kind of money in their severance pacakges.

Notice how they fail to mention who filed for divorce in this article?

This is another reason why I say it's a myth that women earn less than men. Yeah they always "earn" less but are paid about the same, but they always take and controll more than half the wealth.

Yes. She was basically with the guy before the NBA contract, raised his children, was there for him when his dad was murdered and other hard times in his career. After all those years, he still couldn't stay faithful and decided to get out. And what's 168 million to him, half a years endorsements?

His wife, Juanita Jordan wasn't the typical NBA wife bimbo either.

can you imagine what joke it is for some women in this world? they marry some super successful guy, bide their time while his net worth goes up, then pull the trigger and cash out.

and its not even like they have to bang an ugly dude. these professional athletes are handsome to boot!

its kind of like one of us banging angelina jolie, giving her a couple of kids, and then divorce her and taking half her net worth.

sweet f*cking gig if you can get it.

notice how you never hear of rich women getting screwed like this (they are smart enough to only marry men with more money).

for a 168 million he could have bought his own private harem instead of that micheal jackson look alike. Idiot.

Half as opposed to everything?!? I say she's entitled to jack sh1t. He should have consulted a better lawyer.

another reason to read that "Mirror of the Soul" blog. Marriage is for AFCs.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.
