I was thinking of buying this book to improve my game.

Are the techniques in this book outdated? Any newer stuff on the market?

To be honest, there isn't a lot of material in there as much as it is a glorified DJ journal. Not saying its bad. Well worth reading. I just didn't learn much from it. Its more about his experiences in the game than it is about teaching others.

I recommend 9-ball from RSD. That's a journal type as well, but you learn more from it.

It's not meant to help you with your game. It's meant to be his story on becoming a part of the pickup community.

He talks about the techniques he learned, but it's just to give you an idea of what they are. In no way does he teach you how to use them. If you want to learn the actual method Strauss used read "The Mystery Method."

But if you want to read a good entertaining book read The Game.

YOU ASK HER Qs always the same Qs so you re never at a loss for what to say

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

It's not meant to be a source of material for routines. It was written as a warning about how weird and dysfunctional the pickup community really is.

Bingo, but also talks about how Strauss improved the first half of the book is epic the second half is truly depressing

The first time I read it I was so gung ho about game and I improved rapidly the second time I read it I realized how depressing it was cause I finally understood what Strauss was talking about

I've only read a hundred or so pages into it, but it's a good book that takes you into a new world that you may not have been in much before. You should try it out if you'd like a good read. There are many newer things on the market though - I believe the Game is about a decade old, and there are lots and lots of books out there.

People don't get this. Nerds around the world still see this as a manual or how to guide of sorts and it's the farthest thing from it.

Neil has been interviewed recently, and he's still the shy, awkward dork he was decades ago, and he's still getting tooled. He still has not entered mainstream social circles. However, he is a revered nerd at the top of the geek hierarchy.

It's carp, get Foundations by RSD. This is the only pua program you should ever get.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.
