Hi guys,
The plates I've had around me the last few months have really got me thinking about interest level and how your actions affect it. Specifically, how there are a few things that I do for various reasons (consciously or not) and with or without expectation may actually somehow "hurt" my game. And unfortunately I can't quite figure out which path to walk.
For instance: One plate I'm seeing has had her interest level drop off a bit from where it originally was. (Ironically, so has mine, but that's for another day.) Anyway, the other day we were out for dinner, and on our way to the restaurant we had to cross the parking lot. It's icey and snowy up where I am, so I unconsciously offered my arm to her, which she took. Not a big deal right?
But here's the thing. When I thought about it after, here you have a scenario where a chick isn't head-over-heels for a guy, and the guy is doing what could be considered a "nice guy/afc/white knight" act. From a game perspective, that would be a step back and you could possibly lose face in her eyes.
On the other hand, this is just something I "do" unconsciously when it's crap weather with any woman I'm with: sister, elderly aunt, friend's gf, date, whomever. There is no "expectation" behind it, no thinking "oh, if I do this, I'm gonna get some action." It's just something that I do. And that is aside from the fact that from a practical perspective, a chick wiping out in front of you and breaking her tailbone after slipping on some ice is a sure-fire way to guarantee you won't be getting laid that night.
So I guess that's my question. Is there a "line" with regards to considerate actions that you can't cross when you are gaming a chick due to the fact that she may interpret it as you being a chump? Or is this something you can temper with other actions and by essentially running solid game?
