The Don Juan Contradiction.

There I was... riding my bike passing an Hb...
My eyes gazed upon her ... and I smiled, and said hi.
But that is all i did.

What was I thinking? why was that all i did?

It has b een said by many that the nature of man is passion and ambition. That is what man's focus should be.

But in my case, many dj's would initiate conversation with the hb.... he would use c+f and etc... to get her # and so on.

But if this is the true essence of Dj ... then the essence of Dj is not the true essence of MAN.

Men do not focus on women..... they focus on their passions and ambitions and seek that first... and then the women would come along.

The focuses of Man and Dj are totally different so how you can say that they are one of the same.

Every post you see on this dicussion forum is about some girl....
its never about... a GOAL.... or ASPIRATION... in your life.

A man and Dj have no congruity whatsoever .... especially the definition of a DJ most everyone on this board goes by.

If a DJ truly embraces the nature of MAN he would nto be so focused on women....but more focused on attaining his GOALS and ASPIRATIONS. And those goals and aspiration would NOT be WOMEN!

Well the truth is, you just can't focus on women. If you've got game, confidence whatever to get the girl then what do you have to offer her after that.
Girls are ultimately attracted to men who are passionate about thier lives and who are successful at what they do. You don't have to be rich. But you need to be exciting. If the only thing you focus on is them, what the hell is that then.

Being a man is all about self improvment, striving hard for your goals, all in all going after what you want.

And just because I apply the knowledge I learn here to the real world, to have more success with women; because that (women) is what I WANT...

I have goals and ambition but I have no problem embracing them. As far as I am concerned this is not a site about how to reach the goals in my life or follow my passion. (I do that just fine)

This is a site about WOMEN, about HOW to get women more specifically.

The whole 'females shouldn't be the focus of your life' thing is just for newbies because THAT IS the focus of their existence. They think that if they can't get miss X - they have no reason to live.

Plus that say'N is more of an extreme attitude to take for the extreme cases (AFCism? lol).

How is that againts your passion and ambition to stop and get a number? If it is then - yes, I wouldn't have striked a conversation with her either. But since it is not - I can still do one thing without it immidiately contradict with another.

PS - My passion IS women. J/K

I totally see the original posters point. Our bass player lives for women. I want to smack him everyday because everywhere we go he's hitting on girls. I completely understand that though but i think it is very lame that he focuses 85% of his totaly waking attention on that. I believe the True Don Juan attitude is that we don't need women. Sure we can use them and they make us feel better but hey, i can live without them and i'm going to go ahead doing what i want without them. "Fight Club" conveys the true essence of confidence.
The character Tyler Durden states in the movie at one point (and the quote is probably a little off) "we are a generation of men raised by our mothers, it's ridiculous to think that another woman is what we need in our lives"

Amen brother, if your focus is ONLY women and you convey a confidence in obtaining her... that is great.. but she wont be with you for long if youd ont have a passion or goal. So you will have NOTHING to offer her after that.

Doesnt that make you a man you ask? NO it doesnt make you MAN, if you have been with 89454 amount of women that does NOT make you a MAN. Okay sure your goal is to get with X amount of women in X amount of time.... You are RIGHT that is a GOAL... but just because you achieve that GOAL does not make you a MAN. A true man's AIMS and TARGETS are NEVER women.
You have it reversed. WOMEN'S targets and aims are MEN....
They are the seekers.... they need US.... We do NOT need them.
and we SHOULD not need them. Your aims and targets need to be in the right direction before anything else. And WOMEN is not IT.

This person believes the "true don juan attitdue is that we dont need women" ... but that attitude is NOT what this SITE demonstrates. And beacuse of that, this site does NOT show that DJ's embrace the true nature of MAN... this is a contradiction that needs to be addressed.

I consider myself a DJ, even though I do what you did when riding a bicicle (well, it wasnt the same case, because I cant ride a bicicle ). If you see being a DJ as having your focus on women, then, no, I am not a DJ.

Women are my greatest passion. i like getting laid more than I like anything else. Do I have other interests and passion? Certainly, but I desire nothing as much as I desire sex. I own a horse that I love to ride, I used to own a motorcycle, I race cars, I plan on getting my pilots license w/in the next year, I enjoy traveling, I love scuba diving and fishing, I could go on and on with my interests. As much as I enjoy these activities, None of these interests comes close to giving me the feeling I get when I'm banging a new hottie. Does that make me not a "MAN"?

Hobo I think your view of manhood is rather thin. Why can't women be a passion? I won't lie not getting laid sucks for me. It makes me miserable, so I guess, in a way, I do need women. Im quite comfortable with that fact. I accept it and I devote time to making sure I get laid regularly. It makes me happy. Why should I not devote time to those things which make me happy? Honestly, getting laid is my number one priority. Its not my only priority, ut it does occupy a lot of my time. Im ok with that, am I not a man?

I think most of you posters are confused on this thread.
To be successful with women you need to be an exciting person to be with. One who has one or more passionate interests in ADDITION to women.

If your only interested in women and nothing else you will fail in the long run with any kind of LTR.

If a man neglects making improvements in the different aspects of his life for the sake of pleasing a woman, it will be like he's spending time tracing a picture, he will not be creating anything new...he will have no unique personality...

If a man wishes to have the goal of screwing the most women possible with street pickups and attending brothels then so be it. I think that's a shallow pursuit but that is his lifestyle choice.

A real man doesn't try to change his personality in order to please a vindictive woman wearing a thong that has no sense of humor. A real man is not a doormat...
