The difference between call me and text me(disscussion)

I know as men we shouldn't waste time figuring out how women think and we should just focus on having fun. However, my curiosity has driven me to wonder why some women say call me and some say text me. For example, you get a girls number and she happily tells you, however she says "text me" after telling you her number. Sometimes women say call me. From you guys' experience, what would you say drives women to say text me, or call and what each means. Just wondering, thanks

Texting is way less intrusive and chicks prefer it more in my oppinion. I'm a huge texter I text like 7000 messages a month lol. I text tons of chicks I can hold convos all day long with like three chicks at a time haha. I also prefer it bc you can violate all the rules and get away with it.

I see where your coming from. I agree to a certain point, texting can be done just about anytime of the day and actual calling seems to be too personal right of the bat. However, I feel that long texting convos can sometimes hurt your chances, some people would argue texting should be kept casual and only used as an aid for a bigger meet. But I could see texting working as catalyst to an eventual call. Texting can be a double edged sword and i suppose women use it to test you out first. Thanks for your input

No problem. I can tell you that it is def a double edged sword. I have had good and bad results from it. But because of how much I do it, I have mastered it lol. I have said before that I even use "give me your # and I'll text you sometime" as a # grab and it works 100% of the time for me.

TEXTING IS THE 2009 VERSION OF CALL ME...........there are some key differences but you are OVE-THINKING the communication portion of this.

U got her info..........who cares if she says call or text..............yes I mentioned there are some key differences............blah blah blah.

Bottom line........call text, message in a bottle, get her thinking of you, responding to you, keep up the banter and then MAKE THAT DATE.

when U start to CSI every little thing about chics you begin to OVER-ANALYZE and ACTUALLY DECREASE your odds of success. RE-DIRECT YOUR MUCH NEEDED ATTENTION ON seducing the chic LIVE & IN PERSON.

You summed it up well with text me being the 2009 version of call me. Besides that you re-instated what i already figured, bottom line you just have to get in her head/mind and interact and take it from there.

I just wanted to know about other peoples experiences with texting. My personal record is 6,000 texts in one month.

Texting is easier in some ways than calling especially if you don't want people to hear what you are saying like if you are at work or have people around and you don't want to them to hear your business.

I just told a girl yesterday I won't text her, because it's girly. I said that becase she texts all the other dudes at work she likes, but I'm not into texting so much. I'll just tell her when and how I want to meet up with her and go from there.

First of all thanks for your response. You brought attention to the potential elephant in the room. Sometimes?! Its more like the norm now a days. Between texting and facebook, women are now able to get immediate self gratification by getting attention none stop.

That's why you got to keep the texting much like conversations on the phone to a minimum. Keep those tools for a hookup (short and sweet) instead of doing what women do and using these tools for attention. The more you are available to text and talk the less value you hold in their eyes.

Damn that was a good response. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks texting and online social networks are tools of gratification for women. It's almost like if we are letting them run things now. Whenever i text a girl i always try to keep it short, by saying i gotta go or some bull****. Like I learned on here, the attention we can give is our currency. Gotta spend it wisely. Good post.

Personally not a big fan of texting...i feel that it is very impersonal and reflects a low to moderate IL from the girl. If you were her ideal dream man she would answer on the first ring...

However, i do get more response from girls texting than i do with traditional phone calls, so I have more opportunity to run game overall.

I guess women, especially younger ones, feel more comfortable texting...so whatever...i'll get a playful and confident vibe going by inducing funny visualizations from my messages and hopefully open her up to a phone call or meet.

Like others said, it doesnt always work. She could be only texting you b/c she's not interested and doesnt want to blow you off over the phone.

I think where you live plays a huge role here as well. I live in Columbus, OH, its a pretty big city and is very up to date on technology and what not. Everyone including their parents text, true story. And I agree with:

Works very well. Im a funny guy so I send funny ****, get em laughing, then leave em hanging on their last reply. Always make sure she is the last one to reply. The best is when you get naked pics from em. My record in one month is just two but I can usually get em to do this. This is a true art haha.

There's no difference. If she wants you to talk to her, it doesn't matter whether it's textual or vocal.

Don't overt think the matter. If she wants action (interaction in this context), she's interested.
