On 18-12-13, Rex finds himself at his old institution of higher learning. One of his old professors is having her class do their Power Point Presentations and my old professor has this tradition of the students bringing in food, so I was there to grab a free meal.

Rex sticks around for the evening class when in comes "SODA POP,". We talk and explain pleasantries, when "SODA POP," brings up the fact that ole Rex didn't text her on Halloween to kick it. The reason was two fold, cash shortage and I really didn't feel like kicking it. Comes to find out that "SODA POP," was hanging out with a Korean friend, to which she says, (that's why I wanted you to hang out,) and she hits me on the arm.

She invites me to hang on Christmas or New Year's Eve. Of course I didn't go on Christmas, because I'd be telling you guys about, so more than likely I'll pop through on New Year's Eve. Here's the ringer, "SODA POP," has a boyfriend. So Rex is confused as to what's going on and I've broken down to the following scenarios.

A) "SODA POP," is uber friendly, sees Rex as a cool dude that she doesn't mind including in her social circle.

B) She DOES have a boyfriend and is willing to sleep with you but wants to make sure that you understand her situation first. She wants DISCRETION and understanding. And though she might be available to you for sex, she NOT immediately available for more of a commitment. http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=162471

C) "SODA POP," might want to include Rex in on some "reindeer games," with her, her man, and/or possibly her friends.

Mind you, before Halloween, I haven't seen "SODA POP," in damn near a year and a half, and I didn't try to holla at her. Most I ever did was try to kiss her. One day, "BORIQUA BLANCA", the former President of the Paralegal Association, "SODA POP," and Rex were having lunch at a neighborhood bar and we were sitting across the table from each other, I forgot how it happened, but we got a flirty and we ended up leaning across the table from each, and we were about to kiss, when as in playing a romantic, sexual tension filled game of chicken, at the last minute, she turned away and sat back down.

My wingman, "THE INSECT," says I need to establish who's going to be at the function before I commit myself. "THE INSECT," said if the boyfriend is going to be there, not to go. I'm partial to going, because,

1) It's New Year's Eve, so why not go?

2) They might be other opportunities to sarge

3) Why not take this as a chance to expanding my social circle?

So my question to y'all is,

1) What is "SODA POP'S," intention?

2) Should Rex go the roof top New Eve's function and drink wine?

A good chance to expand social circle and gain preselection infront of Sodapop. And her boyfriend might be on the way out so win/win/maybe?

If you got nothing else to do why not...

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I'd say use this as a chance to hit on other girls at her party instead of her since she already has a boyfriend.

Always have a back up plan just in case something goes downhill. In my opinion it sounds like she wants to use good old Rex to the keep her company. A shiny object that is ripe for the taking.

H. A. you have elaborate on that. @Dgwizal, I seriously doubt that the bf is on the the outs because they just got a place on the Upper Eastside of Manhattan, if you know anything about area, it's hella expensive and the need both of their incomes to live there.

Being a Man of My Word

As far as "SODA POP," is concerned, ya boy called to see what up for New Year's and Rex left a voice and text message. But Rex, you said not to Rex. I know, but my phone is f*cked up from being dropped and for some reason the screen goes black and I cant access the touch screen...but forgive my digression.

As "THE INSECT and I were discussing the situation, he basically told ole Rex the same things that I tell y'all in situations like this, "She got the messages and she opted not to hit you back.[/i]" Also, there's the fact that I hit her up on Christmas, so "SODA POP," does have my number and if she REALLY wanted to f*ck with me on New Year's she would have hit ole Rex up during the course of the week to confirm his presence at her function.

Then as what happens with y'all, that shred of self doubt emerges, What if she didn't get my messages? Then I remembered this message I got in my in box from applegoo,

Thanks for clarifying. It all makes plenty sense. Appreciate you taking the time man. You're a great asset to all of us here and really do help us keep our heads straight. Take it easy and happy new year.
It's the italicized that's was the most profound and stuck out the most to ya boy. At the end of the day, y'all are nothing more than a bunch of binary code symbols in front of a computer monitor, the same with me, but that message let me know that some of the things that I'm saying is resonating with some of you. So as I'm walking to 4 train at Union Square, I'm saying to myself, I talk a lot of sh*t on So Suave, I can't in good conscience call this broad knowing that if somebody on So Suave were to ask what to do in this situation, that I would tell them to do the polar opposite and if they didn't, I would subject them to a "strong talking too." So with that I descended down into the train station and took my black a$$ home.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.
