What cool songs can you play, or wish you could play? Let's get this going

I have been playing...

traditional Bluegrass
a huge array of classic acoustic rock songs
Eric Clapton- the whole Unplugged album, Classical Gas
Spanish Romance
Ennio Morricone- Once upon a time in the West, Il Tramonto, A Fistful of Dollars, Love Affair
Garudo Valley
Rodrigo y Gabriela (in earnest-their stuff is sick)

So much more, but that's the core lineup at this posting

So what are you playing?

well, I'm in a Prince tributre band these days, so i'm working on that. He's a very underated guitar player. Computer Blue is a cool guitar song after the first verse. Not too difficult to play, but the end melody os hard to play through without fvcking up at least once. It reminds me of Frank Zappa.

Megadeth- Take No Prisoners is my favorite metal song to play. Its super hard. Anything on Rust in Peace is some of the best guitar playing ever IMO. Also, as far as metal, Iron Maiden is always fun to play.

As far as solo's go, Aqualung-Jethro Tull, Sweet Child of Mine, Freebird, Tube Snake Boogie-ZZ top, are some of my fav's.

Stairway to Heaven was the first song I ever learned. I will never play it again, but is the ultimate guitar song to learn.

Other kick ass Guitar songs:

Skip James-Cherry Ball Blues. This is really great old delta blues. You can hear a lot of Skip James influence in Zeppelin. Delta blues can be really hard to play, especially Skip James.

This band here IMO is one of the only truly talented modern bands out there today. Black Keys-Hold me in your arms. great band, keeping REAL blues alive. They're pretty Hendrixy in some of their songs too.

Best Friends Girl. Very cool guitar lines in this song. The Cars are a great guitar band.

Also, Stray Cats are really challenging. MUCH respect if you can play Rock This Town, and do it justice. Stray Cat strut is cool too. It has a lot of jazz chords.

Lastly Im going to throw this song out there too. Its called Horse Whipper, from ASG. It has a really cool guitar line. These guys really impressed me live.

Im the first to admit, I cant do shyt with an acoustic, so I posted my favorite rock songs. Rollo knows some kickass flamenco. You can google Arabic Flamenco, and hear some really crazy good stuff you've never heard of. I've never tried to learn any of it, but I should. I've been too occupied with my Prince band to learn anything else lately, though.

Oh. If we're going THAT route, check this out: Dominic Frasca

I really like that Andy McKee, and Antonie Dufor.

heres a really good shredder solo: Ferdinando Miyata Watch the whole thing. This guy gets WIERD towards the end. Im not into 'shredders,' but this makes my jaw drop.
