me likey the videos...though he could afford to squat lower (not that you can really see how low he goes, but it's pretty clearly not past parallel).

When he squatted with the bar it looked like he went an inch or two below parallel. I think in competition you need to go an inch below for it to count.

Thanks Skilla :box:

I used to stop at or a bit above parallel. Last night however, I was going as low as I could, and I'm definitely feeling it today. I need to eat more lol.

Yes. But the big three are considered the true measure of strength. At powerlifting competitions you perform squats, bench, and deads. This isn't a workout routine!

If you're looking to increase your deadlift, powercleans are a great exercise to incorperate into your routine.

I only watched the squat video...this guy obviously has never lifted much weight. First he has all the bar's weight on his hands, you can tell because his wrists are bent all the way back--you get heavy load back there and grip it like that and your wrists are gonna be sore for weeks. Then, he squats with a narrow spread (his knees don't go out to the side any when he squats) which will cause your knees to push up against your stomach and won't let you go all the way down, which in turn will put an inordinate amount of stress straight on the knees. Get those damn knees out.

I don't think I'd trust this guy, he doesn't look like he's ever actually lifted very much.

The way he described the squat wasn't very good. Feet straight ahead? Natural curve of your neck? What?

I put my feet straight ahead, and I get lower than I would otherwise. Prevents my knees from flaring out which causes me some serious pain. "Natural Curve" i'm guessing means don't look up and don't look down, causing an "unnatural curve" in your neck.
