The current ban system is a joke.
I’ll keep it short and simple. Individuals like Frog and Urban continuously spam the forum with trash, flaming, personal insults etc. Yet they have yet to be banned

You don’t see a straight guy enter a gay club and start talking about the “f*gs” how good women are etc and be allowed to stay there. So why should an individual who is interested in escorts be allowed to stay in a forum about being the best version of yourself and getting the best possible women. Not the easiest.

Before mods or whoever come and say you’re a man ignore him. No I’m a man, and I will stand up for what is correct and protect my ground and stance. Letting the idiots be is the reason why a lot of things are the way they are. Especially in America

Until there's a decentralised, trustless solution to moderate forums, personal bias will continue. Remove humans from the equation and you will have less problems.

I think their posts are entertaining. I also think it's instructive to see that dudes use mental gymnastics on part with many women.

I don't think it's sensible to be comparing dating to prostitution with the sort of regularity that it is. Two completely different things. Not sure what the rules actually are about it tbh.

I hovered over the DJ Discussion forum title recently and it's officially described as "Discuss meeting, dating and attracting women with others. Ask a question or give advice."

I'd say most threads stay true to that to be fair, but there do seem to be a large number recently that are either aggressively preaching some sort of shallow PUA course that's a paid gig or guys just bragging about how manly they are for giving women $1000 to glipglop their dingdong.

Or even just guys creating threads just to make lengthy speeches about how f*cking awesome they are, how everyone else is a peon by comparison and how they're totally not insecure despite reeking of zero self esteem. None of these are things which are helpful to other men or aligned with becoming good with women, IMO.

There seems to be a lot of tolerance for open insults sometimes. In a way it's a shame, in another it's actually kind of good because it lets us resolve our differences like men and people that are bulls***ters are quickly exposed for what they are.

I'll admit I've allowed myself to get drawn into a tirade a few times, but only after I've been personally insulted in a pretty outrageous, flat-out way first. It's those kinds of incendiary insulting posts I dislike the most, they're usually borne out of someone's insecurity masquerading as bravado.

This right here is a respectable quality for a man to have. Any good man should always stay true to this. But regarding this forum you are missing one HUGE point: this is not YOUR ground. Do you own SoSuave? Do you pay a membership fee? SoSuave belongs to Mr. Allen Thompson, him and only him. It is his ground where he creates the rules and the moderation team enforces them on his behalf. The rules here are pretty clear. While a couple people on here annoy me to infinity and back, as some folks do you and probably everyone else, that doesn't mean they get banned because they are annoying. It means if I wasn't a moderator I would put then on ignore and forget about it. As a moderator I can't do that, but the rest of you guys who are not moderators can. It's a priviledge that only folks who are NOT moderators can have on here, yet you guys think it makes you weak if you use it. It's no different than blocking the number of a chick you no longer want to hear from. I don't see it as any different. I will never understand this concept of ranting and raving and whooting and hollering over someone who annoys you but not putting them on ignore. My logical brain just can't grasp that one. Oh well. Let me know if you decide to put up your own forum that is your ground. I would join it.

Also, my stance is not that this is MY GROUND. Like many of the men who come here, we have lives outside of this virtual forum. My stance is I will not be quiet when rules set(or approved) by the housekeeper aren’t being followed.
I don’t care about how weak putting someone on block or whatever you said “makes me look”. I don’t even reply to these individuals, or any individual for that matter. But I am not the quiet type, and there is hypocrisy and inconsistency going around.

In addition me owning or paying a membership is a fallacious argument, zero relevance. This site was created by him for the public and we(people who visit) are the only reason he receives whatever income it is he does receive. Do you walk up to your sons or brothers school to complain about him being bullied and get told by the administration you can not complain because he is there for free/or that you don’t own the place?

There are also plenty of individuals who are annoying and I don’t in any way think they deserve to be banned. No when a guy comes to a forum about cars talking about buying apples, why should he be showed hospitality. Even when there’s clearly no interest in cars from his part

@Epicurus I am not denying that there are folks who break the rules on here that the mod team doesn't catch. I believe you. But what you guys have to realize about forum moderation is that we don't see everything. Between all of us we read a lot of threads but not every single one. We catch infractions that are either reported to us, or, crimes in progress on regular patrol just like police randomly driving down a street. We work just like the police in a way. I am also a cop so I would know how they compare. Police can't be in every neighborhood on every street all the time, nor can moderators be in every thread in every post. We are going to miss stuff. That's why we encourage you guys to report it to us, aka call 911, when you see obvious infractions in the rules. We will look at every single one and see if any infractions are made. I promise we do. Then we send warnings and keep a log, kind of like a rap sheet, on what the person did and how severe it was. We assign points based on severity. Was it a petty offense, a misdeameanor, or a felony. After enough points then the bans start coming. Temporary then permanent. All bans must go thru one of the senior moderators, Atom, TVM, or Des. But all bans must also be voted on by as many mods as possible. Unless it's an obvious spammer, troll. This is really it. I am being up front and honest.

No intention to bash you but generally its those asking for bans and censorship to have a problem...if what those users say makes no sense either ignore it or easily debunk it.

Better yet for future reports, just write to the mods privately so you will get a more precise answer that you cant get in public.

This is not the presidential run where you need to get supporters and fans.

Depending on one’s life circumstances, escorts can make a fair amount of sense. There are lots of men in Corporate America who are almost constantly traveling on business. You can have an appointment with an escort lined up in advance of a trip, sparing all the bullshït of pickup game. It can also be cheaper (though the sex would not be as often) than a woman extracting as much money as she can from you in a relationship, or divorce theft. There’s a joke among men in “the hobby” that you’re not paying for the sex, you’re paying her to leave.

There is no “one way” to live life and people can think for themselves. That’s why we have this thing called freedom of speech.
