okay, i've decided to compose a thread just so that i can get some insight on the certain qualities, traits, or attributes which YOU guys possess. perhaps if we all share the talents, skills, and so fourth that you have, we can all learn from eachother, share our experiences and overall IMPROVE.

what do YOU have going for you? do you have a job? do you have a girlfriend? do you have money? do you have a nice car/house, etc..? what're your accomplishments?

if you're good at communicating with others, say so. that's a skill. can you give killer massages? palmistry? do you know NLP? play an instrument? can you sing? what're you proud of that YOU can do, that other "average" people CAN'T do?

what're your strengths, and weaknesses?

another big one... how much have you evolved over the past few months/years? what were you like before, and what has changed?

you get the idea.

i'll get things rolling.

i'm 18 and have a full-time job at a car dealership making $9/hour. i drive a 1983 Camaro which i'm happy to own. own many posessions which i've invested a lot of money in over the years, such as my computer. no girlfriend. currently dating and working on my approaches and building attraction (not too successful in that field, yet). i have no money. i LOVE to learn. i've been spending a lot of my time reading books, and developing my personality over the past few months. big changes, i used to be EXTREMELY shy. i'm proud to say i'm over that. gaining more friends and meeting new people by the day. i'm currently learning about and plan on pursing a job in sales, to further improve myself.

i'm pretty good at reading bodylanguage, and am working on palmistry. i also plan on learning about massages in the future, as well. as for physical status, i work out 3-4 times a week. been slow in the results, but i'm sticking with it. i'm really skinny, but working on it.

i don't have much to brag about, that's why i'm at this forum. that's also why i was interested in creating this thread. there's nothing really that makes me better than the next guy. i want to change that. i'd like to know what you guys are doing with your lives, how successful you are, what talents/skills you've developed... and maybe it will give us all some ideas on what to work on to further better ourselves.

sounds like you're doing good for yourself man.

one thing. you're not your job. you're not how much money you have in the bank. you're not the car you drive. you're not the contents of your wallet. you're not your fvckin khakis. just quoting fight club like i've been doing for the past week. that film's drilled into my skull.

me:

2nd year law student

weight from 8lbs to 155lbs, approx same low bf%
more importantly, over the last 8 months, i've gone from 135lbs to 155lbs, low bf% :D (gym every week, 5 times a week) i'm adding eating porridge twice a day to this as a skill, because i used to throw it up every time)

i can get along with lots of different types of people now and don't get nervous talking to folk, except with the odd hb

play guitar - started may2004. i can now play a lot of songs, including greenday - time of your life and lynard skynard - sweet home alabama. those two are really easy to play and get good responses.

haven't played a computer game since may2003 (except the odd game with mates) - i had some serious addictions

i have a unique sense of humour. i can see the positive in everything. i'm learning to stay mysterious. i used to spill my guts about my life instantly when meeting someone new. now i've learned to hold that back with vague responses (ironic considering what i'm doing right now) anti-dumps machine post 7 by pook i think (about mystery) is brilliant for this. like "what have you been up to?" "lots of things" instead of "i've been doing x, y, z and this ugly girl who makes me go limp at the sight of her so i have to stick a bag..."

very varied taste in music. this is an important part of my life, that only started developing 2years ago

golf - handicap 4. i'm consistent at that, but i'm only playing once a week at most because it's getting boring

weakness - the usual lack of motivation we all get from time to time, which usually results in some unsocial periods, but i'm getting better at snapping out of it these days.

good post idea man

awesome, gav. yeah, one thing which i did when i went through my "changing" process, was to ditch the video games. i used to obsessively play video games, online games, etc... which corrupted me during my highschool years. i now blame those games for making me so anti-social. i don't even watch tv anymore, except for hockey games.

the motivation thing is a problem for me, as well. i'll spend a lot of time learning about the stuff, constantly. i will meet the girls online, or approach, etc... but once i have their number or whatever, i'm too lazy to call them up and make the plans! slowly getting better at this. i've realized that if i just jump right in and force myself to get involved, then it motivates me to want more.

one thing which i'd like to work on is to develop SOCIAL PROOF. i believe this is one of the most important things you can have going for you. it's tough, though. sometimes i still end up spending friday nights at home.

still working on my conversation skills.

anyways, keep it up. =)

anyone else want to contribute?

hrmm...some things i possess...

well, i'm an art student and work for a small production studio doing backgrounds. girls love art.

i'm 21, live on my own, have my own car and dress well as well as in a variety of ways.

pretty good at making friends. i seem to be able to relate with most people. i may not look like i have much in common with them, but i also seem to have something i can talk to them about.

i'm also a creative writer [as a hobby] and chicks love my writings.

my hair, they LOVE my hair.

i'm very laid back, opinionated, and intelligent [or so i'd like to think]. being able to talk about any subject given is a definite plus :p everything from art history to politics to religion to physics.

i can also be somewhat reserved...this is sort of a good thing, i guess. so when you actually talk to the girl, you can catch them off guard :p

some weaknesess:

i can be shy at times. it usually depends on the mood i'm in, but it's about 50/50.

i can also be bad at conversation if i feel intimidated or somewhat uncomfortable.

i'm not nearly as assertive enough as i should be. plus i'm VERY afraid of rejection. i'm slowly getting over this, but this is probably my main issue.

I play a pretty mean blue line, but also double as a grinder in the corners.

Well, lets see,

I'm 18 years old, I have a great job as a gov't contractor. I work w/ some top secret stuff and I make $10/hr.

I'm a college freshman, and well on top of my game. I used to be a big time AFC, but these past 3 months or so (after reading this forum) i've totally changed (for the better) I go up to girls all the time, not always go 4 a # close, but still, thats good.

I'm a computer engineering major. I dont drive a good car now, but I'm looking to own a brand new Acura RSX or a Honda Civic.

I usually get a long with pretty much everybody I meet, guys girls, everybody. I am a funny guy naturally, a born C&F guy. I love to flirt, so that's no problem for me. i think i look pretty good, and i have been told by many that I am a hottie, or i'm cute, etc...

I'm just an all around laid back guy, who loves to flirt, loves to party, loves to have fun. I know when to be serious though, and the girls like it when you know when to be serious. I think i'm a good guy, and i've come a long way after reading this forum, so thanks to everyone for helping me become a DJ. it has not only change my life regarding women, but my whole outlook on life-exactly what a true DJ is.

with creative writing, it's a mixture of poetry and journalism [very subjective of course]. i don't write dumb, emo poetry like everyone else, so i think that's what girls like. they always wanna read my other stuff. i do it as a hobby because, well, i'm not a professional. i don't make money doing it and i only do it in my free time. definitely not something i'm pursuing as a career.

the two things that the chicks digged most, was my writings when i was suffering from insomnia. i use a lot of symbolism and metaphors. they seem to dig that. and also, they love me free writing. i usually take a topic and write in free verse, again with a lot of symbolism and metaphors. but not so much so the person doesn't know what i'm writing about, yanno?

as for my hair, it isn't too original, it's just messy spikes all around. but for some reason i always get compliments on it and the chicks i meet always want to touch it. i can thank my stylist for that though, he kicks ass.

i'm 18, i'm just attending a local college near me (i live 10 mins away so i'm living at home).

What I have going for me? I'm a decent looking guy, very easy going, and USUALLY very optimistic and friendly. I am a near math genius (95% w/out trying very much) and do very well in all my subjects if I pay attention in class. I also lift weights 3 times a week for about 20-30 mins. I've gained about 8 pounds over the summer (from 127 to 135) of mostly muscle, w/ a few pounds of fat (i still could use a little more). For sports, I am a good soccer player in a men's league w/ a couple of my friends. My favourite sport is basketball...I play at the school gym every friday in pickup games.

What is NOT going for me? Haven't had a girlfriend yet. Had a couple girls ask me out....but I wasn't really interested in anything beyond casual friendship so I declined. I don't really seem to have a great group of friends to hang around. I have a couple good friends scattered around....but I don't really have any group that I would hang out every friday/saturday night. I'll go out with them now and then....but that is more out of lack of anything better to do. I am still pretty shy...especially around girls. Every single one of my girl friendships was established by them making the first contact....either by saying hi when we didn't know each other yet, or giving out their contact info first....etc. I am somewhat addicted to computers and the internet. I'll call my friends now and then....and if there isn't anything going down I usually won't push at all. I won't call a bunch of people, i'll call maybe 1 or 2 guys and if nothings going on i'll just sit and wait for someone to call me. I'll just hang out on the computer instead.....cuz I am too lazy (and don't want to bug ppl).

What am I working on? I am gonna apply for a job in a couple weeks. Fridays I have off of school so I wanna work if I have nothing to do on that day. I'm also trying to say hi and be more going toward strangers. I've alrdy said hi to a couple classmates at school. It was really out of my comfort zone, but it gets easier every time. People have USUALLY responded very well when I am friendly and outgoing towards them. I hope to keep this up as time goes on.

Thx for listening :)

Player, do you really make "Love" to them or do you just have sex? I know that 'love' is an energy that emanates from the inner souls of two consenting adults but what does it mean in your sexual context here?

What is your definition of love?

i used to be EXTREMELY shy myself. especially during my years in highschool. for that, i blame video games and tv. i used to OBSESSIVELY play this online game for about 3 years of my highschool life, which made me anti-social. you seem to be pretty active, which is great... keep that up, you will slowly get over your shyness. one thing which i'd like to point out is that my JOB has helped me tremendously. now, i onl make $9/hour, and i work at a car dealership. i work with a lot of people... a lot of salesmen, etc... now i have become pretty decent friends with all these guys. we stop and chat during our breaks. we always say "hi" to eachother and "how's it going?" at my job, it gave me a GREAT opportunity to practice a lot of the stuff which i've been learning. i've practiced my eye contact and body posture/walk, which is now a second nature just by practicing it at my job. i've practiced saying "hi" and "how's it going?" to random strangers at my work, or even customers. i experimented. if you can find a good job that you can see will benefit you in this aspect of your life, then go for that. it will improve you, trust me.

you need to find a group of guys to hang around. it can be ANY group. i moved schools a lot, and typically started out hanging out with HUGE dorks that were a year younger than me. i moved myself up to the more popular guys. however, i didn't like them, but i managed to find a GREAT group of friends which i hang out with now. when you do find a group that approves of you (even if it's the few current friends you have now), stick with them. YOU have to be willing and motivated to do things with them, otherwise the friendship will fail. through doing things with them, you will meet their friends and other people. you will learn how to interact with different groups and different personalities. this is important.

anyways, this will all change slowly if you put yourself out there and try new things. i'm still recovering from this, but i've noticed huge changes. social proof is very important. probably one of the most important things. this is one area which i'm heavily working on.

I have a job. 7.90/hr which is alright for a part-time job here (where minimum wage is 7.15 and that's what most people my age in the store get) and the hours are flexible as hell. I'm just entering a good university this year and I know where I'm headed in life. I don't have big money or anything, I have no car and will be living at home for university.

I'm a fast learner, you could say. Give me half the time you give somone else to learn how to do something and I will probably still be better at it than them. A lot of times when I've just picked something up people think I've been doing it for quite a while.

I'm also pretty funny. I probably picked this up from watching tons of comedy and hanging out with other funny people. People tell me that I can just bust out something funny whenever I want, they say I'm always on, stuff like that, which is mostly true.

Clever is the word, I guess. And for what I lack in being clever I can make up for in being knowledgeable, usually.

Physically I'm just a smidge above average, for now. Decent body which is getting better and better by the week, but crap skin since I was slacking with the whole hygiene deal for a while. I'm working on that, too. Also I'm just not really attractive face-wise, ya know. I'm not ugly or anything, just a little below average (though I sort of fit into a niche that a few chicks seem to really dig).
